One Nation Under God?

Today’s Feast

Nov. 21, 2015 – I Samuel 8

One Nation Under God?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

4 I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, 5 that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge1 Corinthians 1:4-5, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully and faithfully continue the Feast in 1 Samuel Chapte 8; The evil government of Samuel's sons. (1-3) The Israelites ask for a king. (4-9) The manner of a king. (10-22)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we are reading in 1 Samuel chapter 8, This is the beginning of trouble when God's people reject God as their king. The government of Samuel's sons is evil. So the Israelites ask for a king thinking it will be better than Samuel's sons. The truth is if God is their king all they need to do is pray. They are told about the way people will have to serve under an Earthly king. “6 But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them. 8 According to all the deeds that they have done, from the day I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are also doing to you. 9 Now then, obey their voice; only you shall solemnly warn them and show them the ways of the king who shall reign over them.”I Samuel 8:6-9, ESV. We need to obey the powers appointed over us and be ruled by God. God can is the real answer for our leader.
14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 1 Samuel 8:6-9, ESV. Thank you for praying and reading his Word. Please continue to let others know about your personal relationship with God. You can share this Feast in it's entirety with others. Keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. Continue to prayerfully join us in sharing God's love. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html. Prayer request or Praise reports can be sent to brother Mike at; mike@admenu.com

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything. Click this link for more information; admenu.com/calling.htm .
