Today’s FeastMay 1, 2015 – Leviticus 10Work It Out Saint!
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes
to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those
who diligently seek Him.”
Hebrews
11:6
New
King James Version (NKJV).
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in
Leviticus Chapter
10;
The
sin and death of Nadab and Abihu. (1,2) Aaron and his sons
forbidden to mourn for Nadab and Abihu. (3-7)
Wine forbidden to the priests when in the service of the
tabernacle. (8-11)
Of eating the holy things. (12-20)"
-
Matthew
Henry Concise.
God
our father has given us his Holy Word and in it we find salvation,
love and fellowship. He gave his Word and exact instruction to his
people here in Leviticus, What happens when men decide to follow
practices in ways that are different than what God has shown us in
his word. Here we see what happened when Aaron’s sons give an
offering not in the manner of what God’s word called for; “1
Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and
put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before
the Lord, which He had not commanded them. 2 So fire went out from
the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. 3 And
Moses said to Aaron, "This is what the Lord spoke, saying:
'By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before
all the people I must be glorified.' " So Aaron held his
peace.”
Leviticus
10:1-3,
NKJV. Everything we’ve read in our Feast in Leviticus shows God
giving exact instructions on how to please him. God’s Word tells
us how to live in a way acceptable to God. God paved the Way for
us; “16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life.”
John
3:16
NKJV. Be careful with whom and how you approach God. He did not
make a way he made the only way. “6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No
one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John
14:6
NKJV. Once again if some one says; “we worship the same God
just by another, name, word or anything else here’s what Paul
the apostle said; “6
I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you
in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not
another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert
the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you,
let him be accursed.”
Galatians
1:6-8
NKJV. So Let’s keep it real and stay on that narrow path that
His Word our GPS or compass leading us home to Him. Go forward
with confidence; “ 12
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my
presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in
you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.“
Philippians
2:12-13,
NKJV.
Let’s
keep the first thing first as we move ahead with our relationship
with Jesus. Remember always that Jesus paid the price while we
were still sinners. “22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control.
Against such there is no law.”
Galatians
5:22-23
NKJV.
If
