Disaster for Jerusalem

north disaster shall be let loose upon all the inhabitants of the land.”

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue
our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 6. God is warning Jerusalem because of their
sin, (see Jeremiah 6:1-8) disaster from the north is imminent if they don’t
repent. Why do people who glory in
sin, hate and deny God’s very existence?
The Word of God is condemning them (see Jeremiah 6:9-17) and in their
ignorance they deny God. While God is
slow to anger and bring wrath (see Jeremiah 6:18-30) he will not put up with
peoples sins forever. “29 The bellows
blow fiercely; the lead is consumed by the fire; in vain the refining goes
on, for the wicked are not removed. 30 Rejected silver they are called, for
the Lord has rejected them.”“ Jeremiah 6:29-30. What is it that saints give up when they
repent and turn to Jesus for salvation?
They are only giving up the perishables for that which will (see
Matthew 6:19-21) never perish. “38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of
your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the
promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off,
everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” Acts 2:38-39 ESV. Remember our fight is not against flesh and
blood (see Ephesians 6:11-13) the spiritual forces of evil. We continue to prayerfully read God’s Word
(see Romans 10:17) because Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading
