Does one mind = Joy? – 1 Chronicles 12
Feb 22, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 12
Dear Saints,
Today we
prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 12.
All these people came to Hebron to make David king; “38 All these, men
of war, arrayed in battle order, came to Hebron with a whole heart to make
David king over all Israel. Likewise, all the rest of Israel were of a single
mind to make David king. 39 And they were there with David for three days,
eating and drinking, for their brothers had made preparation for them. 40 And
also their relatives, from as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, came
bringing food on donkeys and on camels and on mules and on oxen, abundant
provisions of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, and wine and oil,
oxen and sheep, for there was joy in Israel.”1 Chronicles 12:13-14,
English Standard Version (ESV). All
these people came together with one purpose and that is why for there was joy
in Israel. “There is no fear
in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment,
and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 1 John 4:18 ESV”
Romans 13:9-10 ESV. Saints if we could
all come together in love and purpose there will be joy among God’s people. We will keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of the
Lamb. If we can leave our own agenda
out of our prayers and pray together in one mind asking for God’s will to be
done. If we can all stop gossiping and
making fun of our leaders, whether in family, at work, in church or government. If we can pray together asking that God’s will
be done on earth as in heaven. Then there
will be Joy amongst God’s people!

“For the
commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall
not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in
this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to
a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” Romans
13:9-10 ESV..
