Checking Our Faith!

Today's Feast

Sept. 8, 2015 – Joshua 4
Checking Our Faith!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. W e will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!Psalm 143:10, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast reading Joshua, Chapter 4; “Stones taken out of Jordan. (1-9) The people pass through Jordan. (10-19) The twelve stones placed in Gilgal. (20-24)- Matthew Henry Concise.

Because Joshua had great faith in God he followed God’s instructions to the letter when crossing the Jordan river. As he prepared to lay siege to the Jericho he new that believing God and following his instructions were the key to victory. Because Joshua and the people did as God said, God gave gave them the city. “15 On the seventh day they rose early, at the dawn of day, and marched around the city in the same manner seven times. It was only on that day that they marched around the city seven times. 16 And at the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “Shout, for the Lord has given you the city. 17 And the city and all that is within it shall be devoted to the Lord for destruction.Joshua 4:15-17, ESV. Let’s check our faith! Do you know that we are fighting a war? Believe it, because we have God’s Word on it. 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.Ephesians 6:10-12, ESV. We are reading God’s word our faith is growing enough to produce works. “17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.Romans 10:17, ESV. So the only question is are we willing to serve God on his terms? [Jesus, Founder and Perfecter of Our Faith] 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,Hebrews 12:1, ESV. Each of us has a personal relationship with God. Therefore it’s up to each of us to decide if we are willing to serve God! Let’s keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of Jesus. Praise Jesus!

I send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. If the Lord Is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

You are an eternal being, where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with God? I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour. Amen!“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart.
