September 10, 2013 – Psalms 36
Today’s Feast
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 36. David asks God to protect him from evil minded men. He speaks to the love and wonder of God. “11 Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me,
nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
12 There the evildoers lie fallen;
they are thrust down, unable to rise” Psalms 36:11-12:-English Standard Version (ESV). Who is the “Evil Doer” David speaks of? Could it be you, you take care of business, provide for your family and make sure all their needs are met. You take them to all the new movies as they come out. We spend a couple of weeks camping at the dunes or river every few months. You don’t impose your religious views on the children or anyone else for that matter. So where do you find sin in me Jesus? Surely I’m not hurting anyone let alone sinning.
If this describes you or anyone you know accept or offer this challenge; Sincerely pray to God in the name of Jesus that he will reveal to you the condition of your soul. Ask Jesus to reveal the truth to you as you read the whole book of John in the New Testament. Then ask yourself am I a sinner, do I need Jesus in my life?
“37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”.” Matthew 9:37-38 ESV.
