What are we seeking?

What are we seeking?

June 4, 2013 – II Corinthians 4

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in II Corinthians 4.  Do we reach to the things which are born of the flesh or those which are born in the spirit? “16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” II Corinthians.  2:16-18 ESV.  If we seek first the treasures of this world we are seeking all that will parish with this world. “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.” 1 Chronicles 29:11 ESV.  We are seeking first the kingdom of God and all that is everlasting will be ours.
