Today's Feast
Can
You Be Happy For Others?
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. W e will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“4
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not
all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in
Christ, and individually members one of another.”
Romans
12:4-5 ,
English
Standard Version (ESV).
Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue
the Feast reading Luke, Chapter
15;
“Parables
of the lost sheep, and the piece of silver. (1-10)
The prodigal son, his wickedness and distress. (11-16)
His repentance and pardon. (17-24)
The elder brother offended. (25-32)”
-
Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today
we read about the prodigal son. He squandered his inheritance and
returned home a broken man. His father receives him like a
Shepard does a lost sheep;
“
6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his
neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my
sheep that was lost.’ 7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more
joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine
righteous persons who need no repentance.”
Luke
13:28-30,
ESV. The
brother who never left or squandered any of his fathers fortune is
not happy to see him;
“
28 But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and
entreated him, 29 but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many
years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet
you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my
friends. 30 But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your
property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!”
Luke
15:28-30,
ESV. Because
of his jealousy he doesn't see that he has always been blessed;
“30
But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property
with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’ 31 And
he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is
mine is yours. 32 It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for
this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is
found.’””
Luke
15:30-32,
ESV. This is why we need
to turn to Jesus praising God everyday for all that he does give
us; “4
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!”
Psalm
100:4,
ESV. Once
we are truly happy with what God does for us we will be able to be
truly happy for others. We need to be like the apostle Paul; “10
I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived
your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had
no opportunity. 11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I
have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know
how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every
circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and
hunger, abundance and need.”,
ESV.
This
is the way to be content and truly happy for others. Then we can
keep the first thing first, which is salvation in Jesus name.
I
send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. If the Lord Is
willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
Join the Saint’s marching in the image of God? You are an eternal being; Where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with Jesus! If you want to be sure, turn from sin and just say this simple prayer; “Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour. Amen!“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart. Now turning from sin, and seek fellowship just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strives to measures up to God’s Word. You need a Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus. If you have trouble finding a good bible believing church in your neighborhood send me an email and I’ll see if I can help; mike@admenu.com. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything see; admenu.com/calling.html
God
Bless You,
