Today’s FeastOct. 14, 2015 – Judges 16Becoming One Of Them?
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“2
Do
not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal
of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of
God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Romans
12:2,
English
Standard Version (ESV).
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Judges
Chapter
16;
“Samson's
escape from Gaza. (1-3)
Samson enticed to declare his strength lay. (4-17)
The Philistines take Samson, and put out his eyes. (18-21)
Samson's strength is renewed. (22-24)
He destroys many of the Philistines.
(25-31)”
- Matthew
Henry Concise.
God
has warned us over and over not to be unevenly yoked. Today we
see the tragedy of Samson's
life
as he married
Delilah;
“4
After this he loved a woman in the Valley of Sorek, whose name was
Delilah. 5 And the lords of the Philistines came up to her and
said to her, “Seduce him, and see where his great strength lies,
and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to
humble him. And we will each give you 1,100 pieces of silver.” 6
So Delilah said to Samson, “Please tell me where your great
strength lies, and how you might be bound, that one could subdue
you.””
Judges
15:18-19,
ESV. I
realize that this is an Old Testament example. Our God never
changes as we see when read this New Testament witness;
“14
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership
has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light
with darkness?”
2
Corinthians 6:14,
ESV. So
witness to them without becoming one of them. Let’s
keep on keeping the first thing first. That’s salvation through
the blood of Jesus.
Don’t
get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our
salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus
sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and
accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the
angels of heaven, nor the Son,[a] but the Father only.”
Matthew
24:36,
ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not
wait while you try to change anything. Click this link for more
