Oct. 7, 2013 – Psalms 65

Psalms Chapter 65 - “God is to be praised in the kingdom of grace. (1-5) In the kingdom of providence. (6-13)”  - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 65 David’s psalm praising God and making a bold statement saying that he is content with God’s blessings.   “4 Blessed is the one you choose and bring near,
    to dwell in your courts!
We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house,
the holiness of your temple!   Psalm 65:4 - English Standard Version (ESV).  Like David Paul made the statement that said; he has learned to be  content wherever God’s work put him; “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.”  Philippians 4:11 ESV. I for one don’t believe we can be truly happy for others until we are content with God’s blessings on us. “1 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.Psalm 63:1 ESV
