National Days of Prayer Day 24 of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 20. Today we read in 1stSamuel David consults Jonathan, concerning the heart of Saul. Jonathan’s covenant with David is to be brothers on the Lord. Saul, missing David, makes inquiry of his son. Jonathan tells his father David went home to be with his family. Now Saul seeks to kill Jonathan. Jonathan takes leave of David saying the Lord will be between them and their children. “41 As soon as the lad had gone, David arose from a place toward the south, fell on his face to the ground, and bowed down three times. And they kissed one another; and they wept together, but David more so. 42 Then Jonathan said to David, “Go in peace, since we have both sworn in the name of the Lord, saying, ‘May the Lord be between you and me, and between your descendants and my descendants, forever.’” So he arose and departed, and Jonathan went into the city.” I Samuel 20:41-42, New King James Version (NKJV). Look at David, God has revealed that his brother in the Lord is faithful and loving.
40 Days of Prayer day 24 Prayer for our nation authored by, - Pastor Glen Aycock
Revive Us Again
SCRIPTURE: 9:9-21”We were slaves; yet even as slaves, our God didn’t abandon us. He has put us in the good graces of the kings of Persia and given us the heart to build The Temple of our God, restore its ruins, and construct a defensive wall in Judah and Jerusalem.
10 "And now, our God, after all this what can we say for ourselves? For we have thrown your commands to the wind,
17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where ye are scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
18 And they shall come thither, and they shall take away from thence all its detestable things and all its abominations.
19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;
20 that they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.”
21 But as for them whose heart walketh well-pleased with their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.
Isa 57:15 “For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: This scripture speaks loud and clear about what God wants for our nation. He wants His people to be of one heart and to keep his ordinances and be doers of the word and not hearers only. In order to accomplish this we must have:
Contrite and humble spirit.
He will revive us.
Walk in His Will
PRAYER THOUGHT: Dear God, Work we pray in our hearts as pray for revival. We are crying.”

Your faith in God, is your real security. Continue to keep the first thing first, salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. “1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2 NKJV. Hold onto your salvation in faith, just like He does David, God will uphold you.
