Seek the Lord and Live

Today’s Feast Oct. 11, 2014- Amos 5 Seek the Lord and Live clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead! “6 "Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;”  Isaiah 55:6 Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Amos Chapter 5; “Israel is called to seek the Lord. (1-6) Earnest exhortations to repentance. (7-17) Threatenings respecting idolatries. (18-27)” - Matthew Henry Concise Through the shepherd Amos; God is calling on His chosen People (see Amos 5:1-6) to repent and seek His mercy and live.   God tells them they can turn suffering, affliction and sorrow into prosperity and joy; (see Amos 5:7-17) seek good and not evil, and they can live.  God warns them to flee from their sins; (see Amos 5:18-27) and they can avoid His righteous Judgment; “26 You shall take up Sikkuth your king, and Kiyyun your star-god--your images that you made for yourselves, 27 and I will send you into exile beyond Damascus," says the LORD, whose name is the God of hosts.” Amos 5:26-27 English Standard Versions (ESV).  Through Jesus you and I; (see Acts 4:12) can live in the Glory of God’s love; “1 For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation” Psalm 62:1 ESV.  If we will love and worship God alone; (see 2 Corinthians 9:8) we will live what some may call; “A Charmed Life.”  Every person that calls on Jesus; (see John 3:16) seeking salvation will have eternal life. Do you want to trust God? If the answer is yes; today is the day of your salvation!  Don’t wait another minute to leave, change or quit anything (see Revelation 3:20) Jesus is at knocking at your door this minute.  He wants you to come just as you are!   Do you hear Jesus calling you?  Will you answer Him today?
