Because of Our Righteousness?

Today's Feast

July 17, 2015 – Deuteronomy 9

Because of Our Righteousness?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.Romans 1:16 English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast by reading Deuteronomy Chapter 9; “The Israelites not to think their success came by their own worthiness. (1-6) Moses reminds the Israelites of their rebellions. (7-29)" - Matthew Henry Concise.

Let's look again at what God has done for his people, not because they were mighty and righteous. “4 “Do not say in your heart, after the Lord your God has thrust them out before you, ‘It is because of my righteousness that the Lord has brought me in to possess this land,’ whereas it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is driving them out before you. 5 Not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart are you going in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations the Lord your God is driving them out from before you, and that he may confirm the word that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.Deuteronomy 9:4–5, ESV. Our God didn’t make a new covenant with us because we were righteous. Not at all it is because he loves us and Jesus is righteous. “6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.1 John 3:6-8 ESV. This is counted to you as being righteous Saint because of his righteousness. This is why we need to keep the first thing first. That being salvation through the blood of the righteous one, the son of God, Jesus Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.” 1 Chronicles 29:11 ESV. I send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. Lord willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Is Jesus knocking at your door? Are you ready to answer God’s call? Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36 ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything; admenu.com/calling.html
