7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 LEV 1-2
Dear Saints, This weekend we prayerfully continue our Feast in Leviticus 1 Saturday and Leviticus 2 Sunday. Leviticus An Overview ; “God ordained divers kinds of oblations and sacrifices, to assure his people of the forgiveness of their offences, if they offered them in true faith and obedience. Also he appointed the priests and Levites, their apparel, offices, conduct, and portion. He showed what feasts they should observe, and at what times. He declared by these sacrifices and ceremonies, that the reward of sin is death, and that without the blood of Christ, the innocent Lamb of God, there can be no forgiveness of sins.” Matthew Henry Commentary on the Whole Bible . In Leviticus God shows his people what sacrifices and how to perform them to be in order for them to be acceptable by God; “1 The Lord called Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying, 2 “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of livestock from the herd or from the flock.” Leviticus 1:1-2, (ESV - English Standard Version). There is an important understanding to come to here. God’s Law harbors no provision to forgive sin, it only points out sin. The forgiveness for sin comes only through a sacrificial blood offering from a perfect male. God’s Word tells us how to make the sacrifice acceptable to God; ”3 “If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the Lord” Leviticus 1:1-2, (ESV - English Standard Version). One man sinned against God that was Adam and brought sin into our world. After that sin becomes part of man’s nature, there are no perfect men. So herein lies the problem, God cannot tolerate sin so man with his sin nature is separated from God. So God teaches man how to make sacrifices for his sin. Man goes out and gets that perfect lamb from his sheep throws it in the back of the car. He drives to the tabernacle. He gives his lamb to one of Aaron’s boys to be sacrificed. The deed is done he gets in his car to drive home. Before he gets out of the parking lot another guy at the exit of the tabernacle parking lot, is already sinning. The sign clearly says “Right Turn Only“ the guy has his left signal on and is holding everyone up while he waits to make an illegal left turn. So the man (who just sacrificed his perfect lamb) rolls down his window and yells; “Hey fool can’t you read? The sign says “Right Turn Only, can’t you wait to get out of the parking lot to sin?“ You can see where I’m going here mans sin nature is out of control. Man’s hearts are (it’s in the book) continually evil. God came up with the only possible solution. “16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 ESV. I’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html. please write mlitew8@gmail.com. You are an eternal being, where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with God? To be sure turn from sin just say this simple prayer; “Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart. Now turning from sin, and seek fellowship just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strives to measures up to God’s Word. You need a Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus.
