Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully begin our Feast in Job 3; Job complains that he was born. He talks like a man who had never known God.  “25 For the thing that I fear comes upon me,     and what I dread befalls me. 26 I am not at ease, nor am I quiet;     I have no rest, but trouble comes.” ” Job 3:25-26, English Standard Version (ESV).  Many years ago I had a loved one who got hooked on drugs. The drug was so addicting that this person did crimes against their own family, and abandoned loved ones for the drug.  As I sought the Lord in prayer and went from one organization to another looking for help all of them had one thing in common.  They all said; unless a person want’s help there is nothing that could be done.  My wife and I continued to pray and seek God in the name of Jesus.  A place called The Walter Hoving Home (a Christian non-government establishment) said that if she would just ask for their help they would take her in. They didn’t say anything about if she really wanted help or if she wanted to know Jesus, all she had to do was choose them over jail. Looking at a long sentence that was a no brainer for her, she asked to be transferred from Jail to the home.  A long sentence was imposed by the Judge, however if she would go immediately into the eighteen-month program at the home. Stay for all eighteen months and finish their program she would finish her sentence on parole.  She happily chose the program.  She hated it; however, the punishment she faced for leaving was so bad she chose to stay.  Each day she started out with mandatory bible study, prayer, self-examination and whatever job she had to do as part of the housekeeping for the Home.  She was brought up in a Christian home and accepted Jesus as a young lady long before she started drugs.  Even though she wasn’t faithful Jesus was; “3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.”  2 Thessalonians 3:3, ESV.   After six months in the program she renewed her relationship with Jesus and finished the eighteen-month program without problems.  That was about eighteen years ago. She went back to college got a bachelor’s degree.  She married and is still trusting Jesus today. She strayed from Jesus he never abandoned her.  Without Jesus there is no hope! If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.
