(1,2) The commandments of the first table. (3-11) Of the second table.(12-17) The fear of the people. (18-21) Idolatry again forbidden. (22-26)“ - Matthew Henry Concise. Keep listening to and depending on God; “5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.” Exodus 20:5-6, NKJV. Keep your eyes on Jesus, let God dwell in your heart; “36 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" 37 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."” Matthew 22:36-40 NKJV.
