(21-28)” -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading Isaiah Chapter 44.   This prophecy is about the influence of the Holy Spirit (see Acts 13:2) setting God’s people apart.  The folly of those who (see Jeremiah 10:3-5) fashion idols (statuary, medallions any item people might have faith in or pray to other than God) and those who pray to them. The salvation and shepherd (see 2 Samuel 5:2) for God’s chosen people; “24 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself,;  28 who says of Cyrus, ‘He is my shepherd, and he shall fulfill all my purpose’; saying of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be built,’ and of the temple, ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’”” Isaiah 44:24, 28  English Standard Versions (ESV).   The gift of God that is salvation through Christ Jesus; gives the believer (see Galatians 5:21-24) hope and peace; blessings from Holy Spirit. “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 ESV.   We continue speaking of our Savior Jesus (see John 14:6) for there is not salvation in any other name.  Jesus brings us life and salvation for these reasons we sing (see Psalm 18:49) God’s praises!
