7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Luk.3
l The Feast l
July_2_2012 Luke 3
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Luke 3 . We see John the Baptiste as he prepares the way for the first coming of Christ. What a man John was telling it like it was, probably intimidating some people. “4 As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet,
“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the Lord,
make his paths straight.
5 Every valley shall be filled,
and every mountain and hill shall be made low,
and the crooked shall become straight,
and the rough places shall become level ways,
6 and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’”
7 He said therefore to the crowds that came out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” Luke 3:4-7, English Standard Version (ESV). Think about this saint, do you think God saved you just to study the bible or to attend church services once or twice a week? I think not, I believe that Jesus gave the great commission to all that believe. “18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”” Matthew 28:1-20. We are thankful for our salvation, His love and all He has done for us. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”” Jeremiah 17:9-10 ESV. This is another reason we continue to keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb, Jesus. I am not a Theologian. So if I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list. http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html. please write mlitew8@yahoo.com. To correspond with a pastor email Pastor Glen; evangelistglen@yahoo.com. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.
The Feast
God Bless you,
Brother Mike
