Who Is This Man?

Today’s Feast

May 22, 2015 – Mark 4

Who Is This Man?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Galatians 5:13 New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Mark Chapter 4; “The parable of the sower. (1-20) Other parables. (21-34) Christ stills the tempest. (35-41)- Matthew Henry Concise.

Here in Mark we get glimpses of Jesus power and glory. “39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!"Mark 4:39–41 NKJV. You see God is fair with every person, He tells us that he is not willing that any should parish. He would rather they repent from sin and spend their time in a true relationship with him. First let’s see if we can answer that question concerning Jesus; “Who then is this that even the wind and sea obey him?” “10 And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. 11 Then a voice came from heaven, "You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."Mark 1:10-11 NKJV. Oh now I see he is one of God’s sons right? Wrong he is God’s only begotten son! ”16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.John 3:16 NKJV. Now we have an understanding, Jesus is God’s only Son! We need to have a relationship with God’s only Son Jesus keeping the first thing first. “7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His graceEphesians 1:7 NKJV. You see knowing who Jesus is and trying to live for him is not enough. It really takes a personal relationship with Jesus; “31 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'Matthew 25:31-36 NKJV. Just knowing who Jesus is isn’t enough, enjoy a relationship with Him; “19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God.” – James 2:19–23 NKJV. In establishing our relationship with Jesus we become God’s friend just as father Abraham did. “13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” – John 15:13-15 NKJV. Thank you Jesus, give us strength and guidance as we attempt to Saintly Serve you Father; Amen! “3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,Hebrews 1:3 NKJV.

Is Jesus knocking at your door? Are you ready to answer God’s call? Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.
