Today’s Feast
What Do We Really Need?
Oct. 15, 2013 – Psalms 73
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our
Feast reading Psalms 73. The psalmist begins tempted by the apparent success of the
rich and famous. This is until he sees the folly of their ways. “18
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
who alone does wondrous
things.
19 Blessed be his glorious name forever;
may the whole earth be
filled with his glory!
Amen and Amen!” Psalm 73:18-19 - English Standard
Version (ESV). It is always amazing to
me to see when successful people fall into ruin. Whether it is their health or their
finances. Never satisfied they may
turn to drugs to enhance their feelings.
They gain fortunes more than I’ll make in a lifetime, and then squander
their money away. What is it that makes us always want more? It’s
in our flesh and until we set our heart on that which is spiritual we will
never be satisfied (see Mark
14:38). “22
Therefore you are great, O Lord God. For there is none like you, and there is
no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.” 2 Samuel 7:22 ESV. Lord please let our need and treasure be with
Jesus! Amen!
Are you dissatisfied today? Do you think there should be more to life? Do
you want to find peace and purpose? If

“11 This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by
you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. 12 And there is
salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among
men by which we must be saved.” ”
Jeremiah 29:11 ESV.
