Sep 17_2012 John 11
Dear Saints,
I pray that you all blessed Jesus over the weekend. Today we prayerfully Feast in John 11. I was reading in the news paper this weekend and I see how Christians are being persecuted in the USA. They can't pray in Jesus name at a military funeral according to the courts. Yet these are the people who died to protect our rights for freedom of religion. I read where a grade school boy was humiliated and punished for talking about Jesus. If they truly don't believe that Jesus is Lord, what makes them so afraid and angry at our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? This is not a new thing as we see as we read the Feast in John chapter 11 today. “51 He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, 52 and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad. 53 So from that day on they made plans to put him to death.” John 11:51-53, English Standard Version (ESV). God's Word tells us that even the demons believe and are very afraid! Why do we share the Word of God? Because our faith produces action, in God's name. “18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?” James 2:18-20 ESV. Jesus is our Lord, God, Savior, friend and our everything! There is no other name under heaven by which we our saved. When we see that we have given up what we can't hold onto (a \life full of sin) for a new eternal life without sin. There is no way that we can go on without praising and sharing his love. “9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:9-11 ESV. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved! I think the truth may be that the non-believer has decided not to accept Jesus. This may be because their deeds are dark and evil. The light exposes that kind of work! Our faith produces a walk of love. “[Walk in Love] Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.” Ephesians 5:1 ESV. Let His light continue to be revealed through you! Keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. Always be aware of where you are walking! Ask yourself;”Where am I walking? You are an eternal being, where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with God? If you want to be sure, turn from sin and just say this simple prayer; “Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart. Now turning from sin, and seek fellowship just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strives to measures up to God’s Word. You need a Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus. If you have trouble finding a good bible believing church in your neighborhood send me an email and I’ll see if I can help; mlitew8@yahoo.com or if you want a pastor email Pastor Glen; pastorglenacock@ymail.com
God Bless you,
Brother Mike
