Today's FeastIs It A Sin?
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“15
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon
Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.””
Matthew
16:15-16
English Standard Version (ESV).
Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue
the Feast by reading Deuteronomy Chapter
14;
“The
Israelites to distinguish themselves from other nations. (1-21)
Respecting the application of tithes. (22-29)"
-
Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today
I want to point out something a little different. A new Sister in
Christ asked me; “Will I go to hell because I drink beer?”
“26
Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or
other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your
household shall eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and
rejoice.”
Deuteronomy
14:26,
ESV. This
quote
is from the Old Testament
I
know however, to tell someone that is following Jesus that to
have
a drink is sending them to hell is a bigger sin! “1
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ
Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in
Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. 3 For God has done
what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his
own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned
sin in the flesh,”
Romans
8:1-3`,
ESV.
While not wanting to be like a Pharisee; I did also want to point out that it is a sin if you drink in
excess, or you drink
beer
to
be drunk;
“13
Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and
drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in
quarreling and jealousy.”
Romans
13:13,
ESV. I send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. If the
Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
Don’t
get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our
salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus
sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and
accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “…But
concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of
heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”
Matthew
24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do
not wait while you try to change anything;
God
Bless You,
Brother
Mike
