Called To Be What?

Today’s Feast

Feb 19, 2015 – Matthew 7

Called To Be What?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

9 "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Luke 11:9 New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew Chapter 7; Christ reproves rash judgment. (1-6) Encouragements to prayer. (7-11) The broad and narrow way. (12-14) Against false prophets. (15-20) To be doers of the word, not hearers only. (21-29) - Matthew Henry Concise.

In this Scripture we see Jesus explaining the Christian life (Romans 8:28) and what it leads to. God’s Word (Matthew 4:4) is food for the Soul. There is not one word more important than another. If you take one thing with you from this Feast take this; 21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV. Why do we say our relationship with Jesus is more important than religion! It is not about “Religion” here Jesus says it is about “Relationship”. Our relationship with him and just as importantly his with us, he has already finished all the work; “ 7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:7-11 NKJV. Now we see how important it is to focus on relationship as we Feast on God’s Word. Then commit it to heart so we can share it with those who are still seeking God. Please remember to keep the first thing first. That’s salvation the gift of God. So now we can go forward, walking humbly, pronouncing Jesus the Christ to a hungry world. We are called with the Holy calling “Called to Be Holy”; 13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;.1 Peter 1:13 If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
