Sept. 28, 2013 – Psalms 54

Today’s Feast

Psalms Chapter 54 - “David complains of the malice of his enemies. (1-3) Assurance of the Divine favour and protection. (4-7)- Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 54. David laments men cannot be trusted.  Give thanksgiving and faith freely to God.  6 With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to you;
    I will give thanks to your name, O Lord, for it is good.
7 For he has delivered me from every trouble,
    and my eye has looked in triumph on my enemies.”   Psalm 54:3-6 - English Standard Version (ESV).  If you look to men for delivery from your troubles you’ll only find disappointment.  Give your trust and thanksgiving to Jesus.  There is no other who will deliver you from your troubles and give you peace (See Acts 4:12).   14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.1 Corinthians 2:14 ESV
