God’s message? – 1 Kings 22
Jan 16, 2013 1 Kings
22
Dear Saints,
Today we finish1st Kings by prayerfully reading, 1 Kings 22. Ahab's prophets, use of the
name of Jehovah to please Jehoshaphat, he falls in company with Ahab. Micaiah
in order to serve God and give Ahab the truth predicts his death. Ahab dies just as predicted by Micaiah. Jehoshaphat
has a good reign over Judah. Ahaziah's reign over Israel is evil. “51 Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in
Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned
two years over Israel. 52 He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and
walked in the way of his father and in the way of his mother and in the way
of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin. 53 He served Baal and
worshiped him and provoked the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger in every way
that his father had done.” 1 Kings 22:51-53. English Standard Version
(ESV). The truths in the scripture
ring true. All men have the potential
to do evil. Saints, need to tell
people the truth if there is any chance of them being favored by God. “[Keep in Step with the Spirit] But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you
will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16 ESV. Walk with God no matter where you walk. What Jesus knows is more important than
what men think. Let’s continue to keep
the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. If God will directs your life, presenting
salvation, will be more important than looking good to men. If we don’t carry God’s message who
will. Our word could save a soul from
hell. Our desire to please men could
allow a soul to go to hell.

“If anyone says, “I
love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his
brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this
commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.” 1 John 4:20-21 ESV.
