Today’s FeastOct. 17, 2015 – Judges 19Take A Stand With Jesus?
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“5
The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all
evildoers."
Psalm
5:5,
English
Standard Version (ESV).
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Judges
Chapter
19;
“The
wickedness of the men of Gibeah.”
- Matthew
Henry Concise.
Here
we see the folly of men who have no regard for God. They trust in
gods made by their own hands. They stand in the way of sinners.
“22
As they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the
city, worthless fellows, surrounded the house, beating on the
door. And they said to the old man, the master of the house,
“Bring out the man who came into your house, that we may know
him.””
Judges
19:22,
English Standard Version (ESV). Notice that when we say; “They
stand in the way of sinners.” we do not mean that they interfere
with sinners. What we mean is do not align our ways with sinful
men. We are warned against these actions in God’s Word. This is
because God loves us and he wants the best for his people. “1
Blessed is the man
who
walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor
stands in the way of sinners,
nor
sits in the seat of scoffers;
2
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and
on his law he meditates day and night.
3
He is like a tree
planted
by streams of water
that
yields its fruit in its season,
and
its leaf does not wither.
In
all that he does, he prospers.”
Psalm
1:1-3,
ESV. God’s Word tells us how we should live in order to prosper.
God leaves us here to share His love with the world because, he is
not willing that any should parish. “9
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count
slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should
perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
2
Peter 3:9,
ESV. We will take our stand with Jesus and share the love of God
with as many as we can. Try to keep the first thing first. That’s
salvation through the blood of Jesus.
Don’t
get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our
salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus
sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and
accept Jesus. He will coe to get every Saint; “36
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the
angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”
Matthew
24:36,
ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not
wait while you try to change anything. Click this link for more
