Whom do you serve? – 2 Sam 7

8th Year 12-13 Edition 3 – 2nd Sam. 7 l The Feast l Nov 8_2012 II Sam 7 Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 7. At rest in his home David considers how he should care for the ark of the covenant. God tells Nathan what to tell David concerning a home for the ark. God makes a covenant with David, concerning his descendents and the kingdom. David loves the Lord God and honors him with prayer and thanksgiving. “27 For you, O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have made this revelation to your servant, saying, ‘I will build you a house.’ Therefore your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you. 28 And now, O Lord God, you are God, and your words are true, and you have promised this good thing to your servant. 29 Now therefore may it please you to bless the house of your servant, so that it may continue forever before you. For you, O Lord God, have spoken, and with your blessing shall the house of your servant be blessed forever.” ” 2 Samuel 7:27 English Standard Version (ESV). Like David we should approach our God offering to serve His purposes. Approach our loving God with praise and thanksgiving. God you are our savior, our first love and our leader. We can endeavor to keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. ““And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”” Joshua 24:15 ESV. Let's pray that God's will is done and, our nation lines up on God's path.
