Psalms 40
Today’s Feast
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 40. David
recognizes the frailty of men. He
extols the wonder and saving grace of God.
“16 But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in
you;
may those who love your salvation
say continually, “Great
is the Lord!”
17 As for me, I am poor and needy,
but the Lord takes
thought for me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
do not delay, O my God!”” Psalms 40:16-17 - English Standard
Version (ESV). We can say the same
about God through Jesus. Jesus is our
savior our deliverer. (See John
1:1). God is great and greatly to be praised. We are of one mind when we praise and pray
in the name of Jesus.
“[Christ's Example of Humility] So if there is
any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the
Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same
mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.” Philippians 2:1-2 ESV.
