Today’s Feast Depend On God! Oct. 31, 2013 – Psalms 89   Psalms Chapter 89 - “God's mercy and truth, and his covenant. (1-4) The glory and perfection of God. (5-14) The happiness of those in communion with him. (15-18) God's covenant with David, as a type of Christ. (19-37) A calamitous state lamented, Prayer for redress. (38-52)” - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 89.  As the psalmist calls God he is reminded of God’s promise.  “34 I will not violate my covenant     or alter the word that went forth from my lips. 35 Once for all I have sworn by my holiness;     I will not lie to David. 36 His offspring shall endure forever,     his throne as long as the sun before me. 37 Like the moon it shall be established forever,     a faithful witness in the skies.” Selah”   Psalm 89:35-37 - English Standard Version (ESV).   Jesus will never leave or forsake us (See Hebrews 13:5)! Now let’s keep our eyes on Jesus. “8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.”  1 Peter 5:8-9  ESV. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” You may say where is God in times of distress.  No matter what happens in your life God will be there for you.   God will never let you down have faith in Him and His word.  As it says in Verse 7 Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.  His love for you in everlasting. Read God’s word with Prayer. Read His word every chance you get. Let all the people Rejoice and praise Him. I am not a theologian. This is inspired by the Holy Spirit.
