For Every Person?

Today’s Feast May 7, 2015 – Leviticus 16 For Every Person? clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 New King James Version (NKJV). Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Leviticus Chapter 16; “ The great day of atonement. (1-14) The sacrifices on it, The scape-goat. (15-34)” - Matthew Henry Concise. The day of atonement and protection for Aaron;”1 Now the Lord spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered profane fire before the Lord, and died; 2 and the Lord said to Moses: "Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Holy Place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.” Leviticus 16:1-2 NKJV. God loves his people so much he gives instruction on dealing with every part of his peoples lives. Today in Leviticus we read about God's concerne nlot only for the Jewish but also for the stranger that comes to live with his people. ”29 "This shall be a statute forever for you: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether a native of your own country or a stranger who dwells among you. 30 For on that day the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord.” Leviticus 16:29-30, NKJV. For those of us who know Jesus we should prepare for Saintly Service. In order for each of us to have a personal relationship with God, He made the Way; “16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NKJV. So we see the first thing in our preparation is salvation through the blood of the lamb. So once we have accepted God’s gift of salvation, we can begin to prepare for service as a saint. The next order of business is logistics. In order to train troops they must be fed in order to stay healthy and grow strong. “12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrews 5:12-14 NKJV. Now then we know we need a steady supply of good food in order for our Saints to grow strong enough for Saintly Service. We need to look to the Word of God for the perfect food. “3 And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.” Deuteronomy 8:3 NKJV. So in the past God’s Word was the means for feeding the Saints and Jesus says it still is, “But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4“ We have began to prepare for Saintly Service. First by turning from sin and accepting God’s gift of salvation. Secondly we’ve secured a good supply of nourishment in God’s Word. Lord willing we will continue to look at preparing for Saintly Service. “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,” Colossians 3:12 NKJV. We don't get to pick and choose who to share Jesus with. Jesus died for every person! If the Lord is willing I will post The Feast again tomorrow. Is Jesus knocking at your door?
