Amos Accused of Conspiracy

Today’s Feast Oct. 13, 2014- Amos 7 Amos Accused of Conspiracy clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead! “1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”  Romans 5:1 Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Amos Chapter 7; “Visions of judgments to come upon Israel. (1-9) Amaziah threatens Amos. (10-17)” - Matthew Henry Concise God shows Amos the Judgments ready to befall His chosen people; (see Amos 7:1-9) then God shows Amos how the people’s acts are measured.   Amaziah the priest of Bethel charges Amos of conspiracy against Jeroboam the king of Israel; (see Amos 7:10-17) Amos said; “The LORD said to me, 'Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’” “17 Therefore thus says the LORD: "'Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided up with a measuring line; you yourself shall die in an unclean land, and Israel shall surely go into exile away from its land.'"” Amos 7:17 English Standard Versions (ESV).  We should trust God and be imitators of Jesus in truth and spirit with gentleness and love (see Galatians 5:22) Jesus is our plumb line!  Yield to Jesus and God’s plans for you will be revealed by the Holy Spirit; “11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” Jeremiah 29:11 ESV.  Let’s share the reason for our hope; (see 1 Peter 1:20-21) to all people with love and gentleness.  Then when the accuser points his finger at you (see James 1:2) you can count it all for joy. Do your hear Jesus knocking at the door of your heart?  Don’t wait another minute to leave, change or quit anything (see Revelation 3:20) Jesus is at knocking at your door this minute.  He wants you to come just as you are!   Do you hear Jesus calling you?  Will you answer Him today?
