Where Is Your Treasure?

Today’s Feast

May 24, 2015 – Mark 6

Where Is Your Treasure?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; Romans 12:10 New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Mark Chapter 6; “Christ despised in his own country. (1-6) The apostles sent forth. (7-13) John the Baptist put to death. (14-29) The apostles return, Five thousand fed by a miracle. (30-44) Christ walks on the sea, He heals those that touch him. (45-56)- Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we see Jesus sending out the disciples in pairs. He tells them that If anyone doesn’t receive them to shake the dust from their feet as a testimony against them. “12 So they went out and preached that people should repent. 13 And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.Mark 6:12-13 NKJV. Even when the possibilities dictated that they were going to be doing a lot of dust shaking they did a bang up job. Just because they did a great job and were so successful at that time didn’t mean they would have smooth sailing always. Look at John the Baptist; he went out in the world preparing the way for Jesus. He was very successful and on fire for the kingdom of God. Yet his life was taken because someone felt ashamed, condemned by the word of God. “25 Immediately she came in with haste to the king and asked, saying, "I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baptist on a platter." 26 And the king was exceedingly sorry; yet, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he did not want to refuse her.Mark 6:25–26 NKJV. No matter what you go through in Saintly Service, there is no guarantee that everything will be sun shine and summer days for us. Just like everyone else we need to be aware that we are in the world. ”16 "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues.Matthew 10:16-17 NKJV. Jesus warned the disciples that the possibilities warranted examination. So why did they continue in Saintly Service? They had faith that allowed them to see a larger reward than what the world could offer.“ 19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV. Be blessed in Saintly Service to God with a loving and peaceful spirit. Then your heart will be with your treasure. The love of Jesus is that treasure you seek; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.1 Peter 2:24 NKJV. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast tomorrow.

Is Jesus knocking at your door? Are you ready to answer God’s call? Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.
