Ask yourself; Whom do I serve?
April 20, 2013 - 2 Chronicles 30
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue to Feast in 2 Chronicles 30 King
Hezekiah loved God and decided to keep the Passover house of the Lord at
Jerusalem. King Hezekiah, through grace, turned to God and
he was doing all he could to bring others to him. “26 So there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the time of Solomon
the son of David king of Israel there had been nothing like this in
Jerusalem. 27 Then the priests and the Levites arose and blessed the people,
and their voice was heard, and their prayer came to his holy habitation in
heaven.’ 2 Chronicles 30:26-27 English
Standard Version (ESV). God knew King Hezekiah’s heart. God
knows the heat of those who serve him as well as those who are using religion
to serve themselves. Though it was
easy to see Hezekiah was sincere because he made Israel as welcome to the Passover,
as any of his own subjects. “12 And what I am doing I will
continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to
claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. 13
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as
apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an
angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise
themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their
deeds.” 1
Corinthians 15:20-22 ESV. Saint’s, you and I must guard against those
who are using the gospel for their own gratification. But not only others we must judge our own
hearts. Am I in God’s service for my
own gratification?

“But
in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who
have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection
of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made
alive.” 1
Corinthians 15:20-22 ESV.
