Man-Up In Jesus!

We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; thereforelove is the fulfilling of the law.”  Romans 13:9-10, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 16; “The reigns of Baasha and Elah in Israel. (1-14) Reigns of Zimri and Omri in Israel. (15-28) Ahab's wickedness, Hiel rebuilds Jericho. (29-34)” - Matthew Henry Concise.     Today we join together and prayerfully read, 1 Kings 16.  The reigns of Baasha and Elah are shortened because they led Israel to sin against the Lord God.  They worshipped false gods and idols.  Zimri and Omri were plagued with fighting against one another.  Ahab (not the captain that chased the white whale) was filled with wickedness.  Hiel rebuilds Jericho, at the cost of his son’s lives.  “33 And Ahab made an Asherah. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him. 34 In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation at the cost of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.” 1 Kings 16:33-34,  ESV.   Listen fathers you are responsible for your family.  Christian men aren’t responsible after they are raised.  We need to teach them to keep God’s commandments and follow Jesus. “15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”” 1 Peter 1:15-16, ESV.  Put Jesus first, it is your responsibility as the head of the family!  If you are not a responsible father talk to Jesus, ask him to forgive you.  Then keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Fathers you are the head of your house.  God will hold you (not your wife) responsible so, man-up in Jesus!. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36, ESV.
