Faith and Hope in God!

The Best of The  Feast

Mar. 28, 2016 1 Chronicles 5
Faith and Hope in God!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.  1 Timothy 2:5-6, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 5; “Genealogies.

- This chapter gives some account of the two tribes and a half seated on the east side of Jordan. They were made captives by the king of Assyria, because they had forsaken the Lord. Only two things are here recorded concerning these tribes. 1. They all shared in a victory. Happy is that people who live in harmony together, who assist each other against the common enemies of their souls, trusting in the Lord, and calling upon him. 2. They shared in captivity. They would have the best land, not considering that it lay most exposed. The desire of earthly objects draws to a distance from God's ordinances, and prepares men for destruction - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 5.  We see hope here where the people have the faith to call on God.  “20 And when they prevailed over them, the Hagrites and all who were with them were given into their hands, for they cried out to God in the battle, and he granted their urgent plea because they trusted in him.1 Chronicles 5:20, ESV.  They are in war and they have the hope that God will save them.  That is they have the faith that God will save them.  When I see persons with no hope it is because they do not have faith in God.  “10 in this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.1 John 4:10, ESV.  Those that have discovered the love of God have hope.  If there is no faith in God then there is no hope. Because we have faith in and love for God we keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  This faith in God’s love, gives us hope for all things in God.  If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
  God Bless You,
Brother Mike
