8th Year 12-14 Edition 3 –II Kings 19 l The Feast l Your eyes on and faith in Jesus!  – 2 Kings 19        Feb 4, 2013 - 2 Kings 19 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 19.  Hezekiah realizes that God has been disrespected; he calls on God, and receives a promise of peace. Sennacherib sends a letter to Hezekiah saying do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you. Sennacherib’s fall is prophesied because he raged against God and his people.  The Assyrian army is destroyed, and Sennacherib slain; “35 And that night the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies. 36 Then Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went home and lived at Nineveh. 37 And as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, struck him down with the sword and escaped into the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his place. “2nd Kings 19:35-37 English - Standard Version (ESV).   Look at the contrast between these two kings.   Sennacherib raged against God and his life was taken.   Hezekiah called out to God in faith and he was grated peace by God.  “[The Lord Is My Rock and My Fortress] [To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, the servant of the Lord, who addressed the words of this song to the Lord on the day when the Lord rescued him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said:] I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:1-2 ESV.  God never changes Saints, never leave your position of faith, and call in the name of Jesus for what you may need.  Jesus said he will never forsake us, let’s keep the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Keep your eyes and your faith in and on Jesus.
