We may not be happy!

We may not be happy!     May 16, 2013 – Ezra 6       Return to Admenu Home   Admenu’s Alternate Site           Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in Ezra 6 .  God touched the heart of King Darius. He told the ones who hindered rebuilding that the people of God were working under his authority.  Hence the work was finished and the people were joyful and they celebrated the Passover.   “20 For the priests and the Levites had purified themselves together; all of them were clean. So they slaughtered the Passover lamb for all the returned exiles, for their fellow priests, and for themselves. 21 It was eaten by the people of Israel who had returned from exile, and also by every one who had joined them and separated himself from the uncleanness of the peoples of the land to worship the Lord, the God of Israel.”  Ezra 6:20-21 English Standard Version (ESV).  People and governments may do things that make us unhappy.  Don’t fret over those things instead pray about and for them.  They may hinder our happiness but they can’t hinder our joy! Our happiness depends on happenstance while our Joy is in Jesus. “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 ESV.  Our service to Jesus is with joy. We gladly and joyfully serve Jesus obeying God’s holy instructions.   Is Jesus is calling out to you?  Do you hear that small voice calling; sinner com home?  Do you want to choose good over evil?
