My Soul Thirsts for You!

Dec. 10, 2013 – Psalms 143

Psalms 143  “David complains of his enemies and distresses. (1-6) He prays for comfort, guidance, and deliverance. (7-12)” - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms.  By reading Psalms 143 .  David is praying for God to forgive his sin, he depends on God’s grace.  He is praying that God will recognize his faith; he is claiming that his righteousness is in God. “11 For your name's sake, O Lord, preserve my life!
In your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble!
12 And in your steadfast love you will cut off my enemies,
and you will destroy all the adversaries of my soul,
for I am your servant.  Psalm 143:11-12  - English Standard Version (ESV).  Where do we find our righteousness?   It seems that our righteousness is found in Jesus (see 2 Corinthians 6:14).  Praise Jesus no matter what trials you endure, claim the victory in Jesus name.  “2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.James 1:2-3 ESV.  Faith comes by hearing about Jesus in God’s Word (see Romans 10:17).

Jesus we thank you for keeping us! Hallelujah!
