Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Genesis Chapter 38; “The profligate conduct of Judah and his family. - This chapter gives an account of Judah and his family, and such an account it is, that it seems a wonder that of all Jacob's sons, our Lord should spring out of Judah, (Hebrews 7:14) . But God will show that his choice is of grace and not of merit, and that Christ came into the world to save sinners, even the chief. Also, that the worthiness of Christ is of himself, and not from his ancestors. How little reason had the Jews, who were so called from this Judah, to boast as they did, (John 8:41) . What awful examples the Lord proclaims in his punishments, of his utter displeasure at sin! Let us seek grace from God to avoid every appearance of sin. And let that state of humbleness to which Jesus submitted, when he came to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself, in appointing such characters as those here recorded, to be his ancestors, endear the Redeemer to our hearts” - Matthew Henry Concise As we continue our Feast in Genesis 38, now we see that Judah is making a quick Judgment; ”24 And it came to pass, about three months after, that Judah was told, saying, "Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot; furthermore she is with child by harlotry." So Judah said, "Bring her out and let her be burned!"’” Genesis 38:24 NKJV. This brings me back to Issue Number One, Salvation! Don’t pronounce judgment on someone you see as a “BAD” sinner. We know they will have an eternal time cut off from God and the Church without salvation. Instead maybe you should tell them about the Loving grace of our God and Savior Jesus! Our God is not willing that any should parish. “9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NKJV. They see something (see Matthew 5:13-16) in your life; they are waiting for you to share it with them. Are you the judge or the witness? Do you hear Jesus calling to you? Are you ready to trust God? If the answer is yes; today is the day of your salvation! Don’t wait another minute to leave, change or quit anything (see Revelation 3:20) Jesus is at knocking at your door this minute. He wants you to come just as you are! Will you answer Him today? Do you want to find true happiness, peace and purpose in your life? Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Genesis Chapter 37; “Joseph is loved of Jacob, but hated by his brethren. (1-4) Joseph's dreams. (5-11) Jacob sends Joseph to visit his brethren, They conspire his death. (12-22) Joseph's brethren sell him. (23-10)Jacob deceived, Joseph sold to Potiphar. (31-36) - Matthew Henry Concise As we continue our Feast in Genesis 37, we see jealousies at work again. Immediately I thought of the sons of Adam, Cain and Abel. Again we see sibling rivalry at it’s very worst; ”23 So it came to pass, when Joseph had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him. 24 Then they took him and cast him into a pit. And the pit was empty; there was no water in it.” Genesis 37:23-24 NKJV.  Joseph the young dreamer held no malice toward his brothers. They on the other hand were willing to kill him in their fit of jealously. We do know our awesome God has the power to overcome sin, It is true that God works for the benefit of every Saint that is working for his will. I’m sure as this was going on Joseph was scared, depressed and greatly saddened. He probably couldn’t think of any good that might come out of this situation. If you or someone you know is saddened or depressed now is the time to think on God’s plan for our lives. Just when it seems that there is no light at the end of the tunnel we find God’s promise for the Saints; “28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NKJV. Our God full of grace has plans for us that we can’t even imagine. So if you or someone you know seem depressed, harassed or down, share (see John 3:16) some hope and joy with them. For those who are not sure what their future holds, share (see John 14:6) Jesus with them. Now is the time to share God’s promises and (see Matthew 9:37) bring them to mind. It really could lead to salvation for another lost soul or (see Romans 15:5) comfort for a saint.   Share Jesus; “2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with long suffering, bearing with one another in love,“  Ephesians 4:2 NKJV. Would you like to sleep like a child again? Can you hear Jesus calling to you today? Are you ready to answer God’s call? If the answer is yes; today is the day of your salvation! Don’t wait another minute to leave, change or quit anything (see Revelation 3:20) Jesus is at knocking at your door this minute. He wants you to come just as you are, surrendering all!
