29-Mar-10 1 Corinthians – 13

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Corinthians 13. When the lord blesses and we become one flesh in which we continue to follow Jesus are we truly joined as one flesh by Jesus? I pray God blessed your weekend. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God— even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved." - 1 Corinthians 13:31 - 33 (New International Version). This is really good I can do many things I may choose not to do, so I don’t cause a saint to fall. Lord willing I will send and post the Feast tomorrow.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”- 1 John 1:9

26 – 28 Mar-10, 1 Cor 10-12

Dear Saints,

This weekend we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Corinthians 10 - 12. It is the weekend Feast, which means we should have a day of rest shared with Jesus. Then with the gift he gives you, share him with everyone you can. “Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant. You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit. Corinthians 12: 1-3 (New International Version). This is our work summed up, no matter where we go God will be there, with us and he’s looking to forgive every sinner that ever walked.

““For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him,”- Philippians 1:29 (Today's passage is from the New International Version.)

(23-33)”- Matthew Henry Concise

Sat, 26 Mar 10, 1 Corinthians 11, “The apostle, after an exhortation to follow him, (1) corrects some abuses. (2-16) Also contentions, divisions, and disorderly celebrations of the Lord's supper. (17-22) He reminds them of the nature and design of its institution. (23-26) And directs how to attend upon it in a due manner. (27-34). -Matthew Henry Concise

Sun, 27 Mar 10, 1 Corinthians 12 , “The variety of use of spiritual gifts are shown. (1-11) In the human body every member has its place and use. (12-26) This is applied to the church of Christ. (27-30) And there is something more excellent than spiritual gifts. (31).”- Matthew Henry Concise

The Daily Feast News

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast with a double in 1 Corinthians 8 & 9. When the lord blesses and we become one flesh in which we continue to follow Jesus are we truly joined as one flesh by Jesus? “Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak. For if anyone with a weak conscience sees you who have this knowledge eating in an idol's temple, won't he be emboldened to eat what has been sacrificed to idols?." - 1 Corinthians 8:9-10 (New International Version)

That really sounds good I can do many things I may choose not to do, so I don’t cause a saint to fall. Lord willing I will send and post the Feast tomorrow.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”- 1 John 1:9

The Daily Feast News

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully begin our Feast in 1 Corinthians 7 . When the lord blesses and we become one flesh in which we continue to follow Jesus are we truly joined as one flesh by Jesus? “4"Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female, 5 and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? 6So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." - Matthew 19:4-6 (New International Version)

That really sounds right to me, how does it sounds to you, does this support what we read today in the Feast? Lord willing I will send and post the Feast tomorrow.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”- Romans 6:23

The Feast

24-Mar-10, 1 Corinthians Chapter 7 – “The apostle answers several questions about marriage. (1-9) Married Christians should not seek to part from their unbelieving consorts. (10-16) Persons, in any fixed station, should usually abide in that. (17-24) It was most desirable, on account of the then perilous days, for people to sit loose to this world. (25-35) Great prudence be used in marriage; it should be only in the Lord. (36-40)” - Matthew Henry Concise

The Daily Feast News

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully begin our Feast in 1 Corinthians 6 . So how am I handling the blessings provided by Jesus? “What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building. - 1 Corinthians 3:5-10. Please join me in your prayers. Lord willing I will send and post the Feast tomorrow.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then.”- Ephesians 3:11-14

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully begin our Feast in 1 Corinthians 5, I wonder how I treated Jesus over the weekend. “1When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. 4My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, 5so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.” - 1 Corinthians 2:1-5. Please join me in your prayers. Lord willing I will send and post the Feast tomorrow.

“[The Armor of God] Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.”- Ephesians 6:10-11

The Feast

Fri, 19 Mar 10, 1 Corinthians 2, “We are now come to the register of the children of Israel, that distinguished people, who were to dwell alone, and not be reckoned among the nations. But now, in Christ, all are welcome to his salvation who come to him; all have equal privileges according to their faith in him, their love and devotedness to him. All that is truly valuable consists in the favour, peace, and image of God, and a life spent to his glory, in promoting the welfare of our fellow-creatures.”- Matthew Henry Concise

Sat, 20 Mar 10, 1 Corinthians 3, “Of all the families of Israel, none were so illustrious as the family of David: here we have a full account of it. From this family, as concerning the flesh, Christ came. The attentive observer will perceive that the children of the righteous enjoy many advantages. -Matthew Henry Concise

Sun, 21 Mar 10, 1 Corinthians 4, “In this chapter we have a further account of Judah, the most numerous and most famous of all the tribes; also an account of Simeon. The most remarkable person in this chapter is Jabez. We are not told upon what account Jabez was more honourable than his brethren; but we find that he was a praying man. The way to be truly great, is to seek to do God's will, and to pray earnestly. Here is the prayer he made. Jabez prayed to the living and true God, who alone can hear and answer prayer... (21-25) .”- Matthew Henry Concise
