Thu 18-Nov-10- II Thessalonians 1 & 2

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our feast in 2 Thessalonians 1 and 2 Thessalonians 2. Paul by the grace of God speaks to us through these scriptures; we must be Living to Please God! We should constantly communicate with God. We should constantly be in prayer for the Saints, Sinners, asking God for his perfect will to be done. Remember this Saint; a saint is a sinner who God saved from the sin; “With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.” – 2 Thessalonians 1:11 - 12 (New International Version). God gives us hope, strength and the direction to keep the First thing (salvation, the gift by God through Jesus) First ! “16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.” 2 Thessalonians 2 (New International Version). Don’t be fooled, be ready, Jesus said that the whole world will hear when he arrives to take us home. Keep going with all your good work, both in the world and in the family of God. “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”- John 17:17 (New International Version). II Thessalonians Overview

The second epistle to the Thessalonians was written soon after the first. The apostle was told that, from some expressions in his first letter, many expected the second coming of Christ was at hand, and that the day of judgment would arrive in their time. Some of these neglected their worldly duties. St. Paul wrote again to correct their error, which hindered the spread of the gospel. He had written agreeably to the words of the prophets of the Old Testament; and he tells them there were many counsels of the Most High yet to be fulfilled, before that day of the Lord should come, though, because it is sure, he had spoken of it as near. The subject led to a remarkable foretelling, of some of the future events which were to take place in the after-ages of the Christian church, and which show the prophetic spirit the apostle possessed.” - Matthew Henry Concise.

and 2 Thessalonians 2. “Cautions against the error that the time of Christ's coming was just at hand. There would first be a general apostacy from the faith, and a revealing of the antichristian man of sin. (1-4) His destruction, and that of those who obey him. (5-12) The security of the Thessalonians from apostacy; an exhortation to stedfastness, and prayer for them. (13-17).” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Wed 17-Nov-10- I Thessalonians 5

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our feast in I Thessalonians 5. We have to examine our own lives and learn to be truly grateful when we see others succeed, prosper and do that which is right. God knows who we are, and speaks to us through these scriptures; we must be Living to Please God!

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.” - I Thessalonians 4:1 - 2 (New International Version). God makes it easy to live to please him. We all did that which pleased God when we accepted Jesus! He doesn’t make pleasing him a chore or hard work; “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:30 (New International Version) Stay strong in your faith and love, sharing this Feast with the Saints. God doesn’t want us to fail; he would like success for everyone who comes to him. “…my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.” - Hosea 4:6 (New International Version). We know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. “But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.” - I Thessalonians 5:4 – 6 (New International Version). Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our feast in I Thessalonians 3 & I Thessalonians 4! I love these letters from Paul it shows he knew to go back and keep his vineyard pruned so to speak. Again here we find life, contentment and love for all the Saints. God knows what our situation is and speaks to us through these scriptures! “May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.” - I Thessalonians 3:12 - 13 (New International Version). You won’t need someone to tell you when it is the Lord God’s time. God will openly call, those of us who continue to Feast together and all who accepted Jesus! “16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”- I Thessalonians 4:16 - 17 (New International Version). Do I say this too much I don’t think so; “we must keep the first thing (salvation) with grace first. I believe this is true that we cannot be saved without (GRACE) Gods Riches At Christ’s Expense!” “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.”- Psalm 119:18 (New International Version). As we continue to pray that God’s will be done in this life, let’s pray for the healing that comes only from Jesus; bind the evil one from our lives. Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our feast in 1 Thessalonians 1 and 1Thessalonians 2! Dear Saints, I have hope that your weekend was blessed by our Lord.  The scripter we look to today is encouraging. In them we find life, contentment and love for all the Saints. God knows our situation and speaks to us through the Feast in his word. “We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” - 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 (New International Version).  Can anyone who knows us deny that Paul wrote this letter to us! God saved those of us who continue to Feast together and all who accepted Jesus, for his Glory.  “For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? Indeed, you are our glory and joy”. - 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 (New International Version). Please remember this is true that we cannot be saved without (GRACE) Gods Riches At Christ’s Expense! It is the first thing that came for us first from Christ Jesus. “Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands give me delight.”- Psalm 119:143

I Thessalonians Overview

The occasion seems to have been the good report of the stedfastness of the church at Thessalonica in the faith of the gospel. Dear Saints,

For Friday, Saturday & Sunday we prayerfully continue our Feast in Colossians 1, Colossians 2 & Colossians 3. Some days we all need someone to run to; “The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Colossians 1:15 - 19 (New International Version.) Christ paid the price for that need in others? They really want a relationship with Jesus! Colossians Overview

“This epistle was sent because of some difficulties which arose among the Colossians, probably from false teachers, in consequence of which they sent to the apostle. The scope of the epistle is to show, that all hope of man's redemption is founded on Christ, in whom alone are all complete fulness, perfections, and sufficiency. The Colossians are cautioned against the devices of judaizing teachers, and also against the notions of carnal wisdom, and human inventions and traditions, as not consistent with full reliance on Christ. In the first two chapters the apostle tells them what they must believe, and in the two last what they must do; the doctrine of faith, and the precepts of life for salvation.” - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our feast in Philippians 4! Dear Saints, I love these letters from Paul. In them we find life, contentment and love for all the Saints. I think God knows what our situation is and speaks to us through these scriptures! “10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength. - Philippians 4:10 - 13 (New International Version). Can anyone deny that Paul wrote this letter to Philippi & God saved them for our strength and correction, those of us who continue to Feast together and all who accepted Jesus! “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.”- 1 John 2:15-16 (New International Version). God continues to minister to us in grace; we must keep the first thing (salvation) with grace first. I believe this is true that we cannot be saved without (GRACE) Gods Riches At Christ’s Expense! Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our feast in Philippians 3! Dear Saints, if our brother Paul sent us to do a good work for Christ, what would he say of us? “17 Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. 18 For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” - Philippians 3:17 - 21 (New International Version). I’m certain that Paul wrote this letter to Philippi & those of us who continue to follow Jesus! “God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’”- Job 37:5-6 (New International Version). God continues to minister to us in grace; keeping the first thing (salvation) with grace first. Grace is required salvation cannot be attained without (GRACE) Gods Riches At Christ’s Expense!
