Wed, May 18, 2011, Hebrews 2 – 3

Dear Saints,

Today & tomorrow we prayerfully continue our feast in Hebrews 2 & ; Hebrews 3  The reason I’m including Thursday’s Feast is I will be at the clinic tomorrow.  We receive a warning to pay attention. “1 We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. 2 For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, 3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. 4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.”  Hebrews 2:1-4 (Today’s New International Version) With this in mind we shall continue to Feast and follow our Lord, in faith and obedience.  I  Thank Jesus for my wife, our God is awesome! Our God is an awesome God. Is there any other God that restore a man’s life, rescue us from hell?  No?  “1 Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. 2 He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house. 3 Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. 4 For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. 5 “Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,”[a] bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. 6 But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.” Isaiah Hebrews 3:1-6  (Today’s New International Version).  Hold every word and act up to the Word.  No one can  tell us of a God more awesome than ours.  Stand and proudly announce loudly; There is Salvation in our God, you’ll find peace that we can trust on. If I am wrong or mistaken please let me know in an email or call me: 1- (760) 592-9251 let your light shine. Let’s continue to feast together so we will allow our life to reflect our hearts. If God is willing, we will love him with a happy heart, and I will post and  send the Feast tomorrow.

Tue, May 17, 2011, Hebrews 1

Dear Saints,

Because God is the author and finisher of our faith and I can’t say it better than our Savior, I send His Word in cotemporary English where it will be readily understood by the most Saints. Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Hebrews 1.

Hebrews an Overview:

“This epistle shows Christ as the end, foundation, body, and truth of the figures of the law, which of themselves were no virtue for the soul. The great truth set forth in this epistle is that Jesus of Nazareth is the true God. The unconverted Jews used many arguments to draw their converted brethren from the Christian faith. They represented the law of Moses as superior to the Christian dispensation, and spoke against every thing connected with the Saviour. The apostle, therefore, shows the superiority of Jesus of Nazareth, as the Son of God, and the benefits from his sufferings and death as the sacrifice for sin, so that the Christian religion is much more excellent and perfect than that of Moses. And the principal design seems to be, to bring the converted Hebrews forward in the knowledge of the gospel, and thus to establish them in the Christian faith, and to prevent their turning from it, against which they are earnestly warned. But while it contains many things suitable to the Hebrews of early times, it also contains many which can never cease to interest the church of God; for the knowledge of Jesus Christ is the very marrow and kernel of all the Scriptures. The ceremonial law is full of Christ, and all the gospel is full of Christ; the blessed lines of both Testaments meet in Him; and how they both agree and sweetly unite in Jesus Christ, is the chief object of the epistle to the Hebrews to discover.” - Henry’s Concise

“Hebrews 1 (Contemporary English Version)

Hebrews 1

1Long ago in many ways and at many times God's prophets spoke his message to our ancestors. 2But now at last, God sent his Son to bring his message to us. God created the universe by his Son, and everything will someday belong to the Son. 3God's Son has all the brightness of God's own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together.

After the Son had washed away our sins, he sat down at the right side [a] of the glorious God in heaven. 4He had become much greater than the angels, and the name he was given is far greater than any of theirs.

God's Son Is Greater than Angels

 5God has never said

   to any of the angels,

"You are my Son, because today

   I have become your Father!"

   Neither has God said

   to any of them,

   "I will be his Father,

and he will be my Son!"

6When God brings his first-born Son [b] into the world, he commands all of his angels to worship him. 7And when God speaks about the angels, he says,

"I change my angels into wind

   and my servants

   into flaming fire."

8But God says about his Son,

   "You are God,

   and you will rule

   as King forever!

Your [c] royal power brings about justice.

    9You loved justice

   and hated evil,

   and so I, your God,

   have chosen you.

   I appointed you

   and made you happier

   than any of your friends."

    10The Scriptures also say,

   "In the beginning, Lord,

   you were the one

   who laid the foundation

   of the earth

   and created the heavens.

    11They will all disappear

   and wear out like clothes,

   but you will last forever.

    12You will roll them up

   like a robe

   and change them

   like a garment.

But you are always the same,

   and you will live forever."

    13God never said to any

   of the angels,

   "Sit at my right side

   until I make your enemies

   into a footstool for you!"

14Angels are merely spirits sent to serve people who are going to be saved.

Footnotes:

a.            Hebrews 1:3 right side: The place of honor and power.

b.            Hebrews 1:6 first-born Son: The first son born into a family had certain privileges that the other children did not have. In 12.23 "first-born" refers to God's special people.

c.            Hebrews 1:8 Your: Some manuscripts have ‘His.’"

The Feast

Tue, May 17, 2011, Hebrews 1, “The surpassing dignity of the Son of God in his Divine person, and in his creating and mediatorial work. (1-3) And in his superiority to all the holy angels. (4-14)“ - Henry’s Concise

Mon, May 16, 2011 Jeremiah 52

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully feast in Jeremiah 52.  I go to the clinic again this week to find out if there is a cure for the infection I’ve had for the last three months; interestingly enough we can be upset about conditions but never without joy!  Happiness depends on the happenstance in our life, our joy is in the Lord and tries as the deceiver might, troublemakers can’t take our joy away.  “31 In the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the year Awel-Marduk became king of Babylon, on the twenty-fifth day of the twelfth month, he released Jehoiachin king of Judah and freed him from prison. 32 He spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat of honor higher than those of the other kings who were with him in Babylon. 33 So Jehoiachin put aside his prison clothes and for the rest of his life ate regularly at the king’s table.“ Jeremiah 52:31-33 (New International Version).  We hear and fear you Father God, thank you for keeping us joyful in your loving hands; we should joyfully hold every action up to God for his Glory.  God sent his only begotten Son to the cross for us. Jesus paid our full price one time for all of us who will repent and enjoy life in his hands.  If God is willing I will post and send the Feast tomorrow.

“The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” - Zephaniah 3:17 Today's passage is from the New International Version, ©2011. On the Bible Gateway

Dear Saints,

The weekend is here and we prayerfully continue our feast in Jeremiah 49 through  Jeremiah 51.  How comforting it is moving ahead safely in our Father’s hands.  Our God the friend and author of our lives, knowing the truth is we are all the work of God. He sees our life from one end to the other and provides the only path to salvation.  “5 I will bring terror on you from all those around you declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty. “Every one of you will be driven away, and no one will gather the fugitives.” Jeremiah 49:5 (New International Version 1984, ©1984) Could Jeremiah see what was to come and how things would turn out?  Again I answer No! Only God can see what lies ahead. Jeremiah was faithful; he followed where God lead and only interjected faithfully as God showed him.  Thank you Jesus as our savior you make us free from our sinful ways. Glory to God, we will follow and serve as you allow.  Father you are awesome. If I am wrong or mistaken please let me know in an email or call me: 1- (760) 592-9251 let your light shine. Let’s continue to feast together so we will allow our life to reflect our hearts. If God is willing, we will love him with a happy heart, and I will post and send the Feast Monday..
