Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Judges 7. “God chose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, a barley-cake to overthrow the tents of Midian, that the excellency of the power might be of God only. The gospel is a sword, not in the hand, but in the mouth: the sword of the Lord and of Gideon; of God and Jesus Christ, of Him that sits on the throne and the Lamb. The wicked are often led to avenge the cause of God upon each other, under the power of their delusions, and the fury of their passions. See also how God often makes the enemies of the church instruments to destroy one another; it is a pity that the church's friends should ever act like them.” Matthew Henry's Concise. “ 20 Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the jars. They held in their left hands the torches, and in their right hands the trumpets to blow. And they cried out, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” 21 Every man stood in his place around the camp, and all the army ran. They cried out and fled. 22 When they blew the 300 trumpets, the Lord set every man's sword against his comrade and against all the army. And the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath. 23 And the men of Israel were called out from Naphtali and from Asher and from all Manasseh, and they pursued after Midian.” Judges 7:20-23 English Standard Version (ESV). Did you notice that Gideon fully trusted God, enough to readily accept the reduction of his army to 300 soldiers? We can expect people to be so wise as to deem God's Word as foolishness. That's why we have God's Word to teach us that His ways are not the ways of the world. To show God's heart full of love for mankind. However if anyone rejects God's Word they become fools. “5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,"has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Treasure in Jars of Clay
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” 2 Corinthians 4:5-7(ESV). It is a good thing to trust in God, we have peace that surpasses that of the world. Though the world would deem what we believe to be foolishness. Notice that trusting God or not trusting in God appears to be foolish to adversaries. I however would rather trust in God's Word rather than that which the world believes. “1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds,
there is none who does good.
2 The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man,
to see if there are any who understand,
who seek after God..“Psalm 14:1-2 (ESV). Another thing I may want to ask myself is what offers more the world or God? I already know from whence my blessings flow. “1 When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O LORD, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.” Psalm 94:18-19 ESV. So let's continue to keep the first thing first. It is salvation through the blood of Jesus. Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Judges 6. Israel is calling for a defender, God sends a prophet. “7 When the people of Israel cried out to the Lord on account of the Midianites, 8 the Lord sent a prophet to the people of Israel. And he said to them, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: I led you up from Egypt and brought you out of the house of slavery. 9 And I delivered you from the hand of the Egyptians and from the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out before you and gave you their land. 10 And I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your God; you shall not fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell.’ But you have not obeyed my voice.”” Judges 6:7-10 English Standard Version (ESV). I've heard people say God you promised this and you have to deliver it because I claim it! Where does the bible (God's Word) say “I'm granting you your every wish? When you ask our Lord for anything it is a request. It's not an order you can't always have it your way! Do we presume to be as wise as God, that we can command him? “22 Out of the north comes golden splendor;
God is clothed with awesome majesty.
23 The Almighty—we cannot find him;
he is great in power;
justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate.
24 Therefore men fear him;
he does not regard any who are wise in their own conceit.”” Job 37:22-24 (ESV). Saint I would caution you to never be so conceited as to think you know God's mind. He does love us. He alone knows what his perfect will is. If you ask him for anything ask if it is in his perfect will. He won't be the one giving you something that will violate his Father – Child relationship with you. If your asking for anything and God says no, it's for your own good. “3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.“James 4:3 (ESV). Just remember God's will for you is perfect because he is perfect. Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Judges 5. Israel’s enemies are God’s enemies, and their friends are His. “31 “So may all your enemies perish, O Lord!
But your friends be like the sun as he rises in his might.”” Judges 5:31 English Standard Version (ESV). It seems like having friends is very important to the human psyche. I know most people see the letters BFF, as Best Friends Forever, that’s how important friends can be. Sometimes we value friends above family. “17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs 17:17 (ESV). Even our Lord Jesus says that good friends are willing to give their lives to save a friend. “13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. “John 15:13-15 (ESV). Because we do what Jesus has told us, we have become His friend. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone knew that MBFFJ stood for; “My Best Friend Forever Jesus”? “By day the LORD commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.” Psalm 16:8 ESV. Because Jesus is our best friend we are keeping the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of Jesus. Saints,
I
hope you had a blessed weekend. Did you bless Jesus over the
weekend? Here it is another Monday, today we prayerfully Feast in
Judges
4.
Another Judge Deborah is telling a repentant Israelite to take
stand. “14
And Deborah said to Barak, “Up! For this is the day in which the
Lord has given Sisera into your hand. Does not the Lord go out
before you?” So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with 10,000 men
following him. 15 And the Lord routed Sisera and all his chariots
and all his army before Barak by the edge of the sword. And Sisera
got down from his chariot and fled away on foot.”
Judges 4:14-15 English Standard Version (ESV). If you've ever
sinned and asked the Lord for forgiveness He will forgive you and
stand for you. God expects that you will prepare to stand for
Him. God expects that all of us will be ready to follow Him, when
the battle falls to us. God wants you to turn your back from sin
and live to have a fruitful life with a special relationship with
Him. “11
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead
expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things
that they do in secret. 13 But when anything is exposed by the
light, it becomes visible, 14 for anything that becomes visible is
light. Therefore it says,
“Awake,
O sleeper,
and
arise from the dead,
and
Christ will shine on you.”
15
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16
making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. ”
Ephesians
5:11-16
(ESV). We need to be prepared if we expect to stand in the day
our Lord calls on us. We need to know exactly what it is we are
preparing for. Is it clear where our battle lies? When we
understand where and whom the battle comes from then we can
prepare to stand. “11
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand
against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against
flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the
spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take
up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in
the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.“
Ephesians
6:11-13
(ESV). Don't wait and sleep until the battle is in your yard
saint! Prepare now to stand with the Saints that will be marching
in. Continue to let your lite shine brightly and keep your eyes
on Jesus. “I
have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right
hand, I shall not be shaken.”

I

niece, nephew and their children where here. Praise Jesus it was

Dear
Saints,
This
weekend we prayerfully read our Feast in Judges
1-3.
We see a theme in the first three books of Judges. The
Israelites turn their back on God! Life get's bad then they turn
back to God. God forgives them and sends them a champion known as
a Judge. “15
Then the people of Israel cried out to the Lord, and the Lord
raised up for them a deliverer, Ehud, the son of Gera, the
Benjaminite, a left-handed man. The people of Israel sent tribute
by him to Eglon the king of Moab. ”
Judges 315 English Standard Version (ESV). I think I've
mentioned this before God never changes! “5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what
you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake
you.”
Hebrews
13:5
(ESV). So have you thought about what that means to us? We were
dead in sin, we reached out and received God's Son and were saved
from sin. So what does that mean when we slip back into sin? “If
we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.“

John 1:9
(ESV). Don't let that old accuser hold you down in sin. The
sooner you repent and confess your sin to Jesus, the sooner
you'll be back in the fold serving God. That is what it is all
about, being full of love and light. ““Let
the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one
who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord
commends.”

Have
a good weekend Saints. My brother is coming to California this
weekend. That means my son and daughter and grandchildren will
also be here. Praise Jesus it's going to be a great weekend!

the government of the Judges, who were occasional deliverers,
raised up by God to rescue Israel from their oppressors, to reform
the state of religion, and to administer justice to the people.

expected; but there were many believers among them, and the
tabernacle service was attended to. The history exemplifies the
frequent warnings and predictions of Moses, and should have close

Feast
Would
you like a more abundant life”? Do you know that God has a plan
that includes a personal relationship with you? You are an eternal
being, where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with
God? If you want to be sure, turn from sin and just say this
simple prayer; “Dear
God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus
Christ shed His precious
blood and
died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite
Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.“
If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart. Now
turning from sin, and seek fellowship just as we do. We worship
and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strives to
measures up to God’s Word. You need a Bible believing body of
believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends
completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his
life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin)
