National Days of Prayer Day 16 of 40
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 12. Samuels has his farewell, and testifies his integrity. Samuel reproves the people, for turning from God. Thunder sent in harvest time as a witness to God’s people. “13 “Now therefore, here is the king whom you have chosen and whom you have desired. And take note, the Lord has set a king over you. 14 If you fear the Lord and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the Lord your God. ” I Samuel 12:13-14, New King James Version (NKJV). You and I will see the results of our political races in November. Pray that the Holy Spirit reveals for whom and what you vote for. The good advice that the Israelites received from Samuel;”If you fear the Lord and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the Lord your God.” Is great advice for our nation today.

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 11. Samuel anoints Saul proclaiming him as King. The first fruit of King Saul was the saving of Jabesh-gileaking. We see God's will done concerning King Saul, as the new King. “12 Then the people said to Samuel, "Who is he who said, 'Shall Saul reign over us?' Bring the men, that we may put them to death." 13 But Saul said, "Not a man shall be put to death this day, for today the Lord has accomplished salvation in Israel." 14 Then Samuel said to the people, "Come, let us go to Gilgal and renew the kingdom there." 15 So all the people went to Gilgal, and there they made Saul king before the Lord in Gilgal. There they made sacrifices of peace offerings before the Lord, and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.” I Samuel 11:12-15, New King James Version (NKJV). God has given us the right to vote and how we vote is between us and God. I believe just as God appointed King Saul, He will use the Holy Spirit to to appoint our new leader from among us.

Prayer for America
![]()
Years ago there was a pop psychology book entitled I’m Ok, You’re Ok. Along with many other such teachings, it has resulted in a nation in which everything is okay. Nobody should be judged unless they do something that really hurts someone else. And even then, he or she probably had a good reason for doing such a bad thing.
One of the casualties of such a belief is the concept of sin. Many churches have even quit talking about sin. It just sounds so judgmental! That practice is making it more and more difficult for Americans to accept the real gospel.
I say real gospel, because there is a gospel that is lacking in reality. It is a gospel that focuses solely on the love of God. But apart from an understanding of sin, that’s no gospel at all. Telling people that God loves them fits American culture. We believe we are all worthy of love and we all ought to love each other, and isn’t it good that God is in on this love thing too?
Romans 5:8 destroys this pop gospel. When we were at our worst and most unlovable, God’s amazing love stepped in. Without an understanding of ourselves as sinners, completely unlovable, we will never understand or accept the cross. The good news (gospel) is that because we are sinners, God, in the most daring act of love the universe has ever seen, sent His Son to take the penalty for our sin. Love for God and for our nation will cause us to proclaim the real gospel to those who desperately need to hear.
Prayer Points
• Thank the Lord for demonstrating His great love for you by dying for you while you were still a sinner.
• Pray for the preachers of America to fearlessly proclaim the Word of God regarding sin and God’s love.
• Pray for a movement of God’s Spirit across America that opens hearts to receive the gospel.
My Prayer
Lord, I am in awe of Your amazing love that reached out to me while I was yet a sinner. Thank You for that good news! I ask that Christians around this nation would speak and live out the truth of the gospel daily. I pray for preachers who would stand fearlessly in their pulpits and proclaim the truth of Your Word concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. Help us never to separate Your love from our desperate sinfulness.

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 10. Samuel anoints Saul proclaiming him as King. Saul prophesies he is among God's prophets. Saul is chosen to be king by God's people. “17 Then Samuel called the people together to the Lord at Mizpah, 18 and said to the children of Israel, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you from the hand of the Egyptians and from the hand of all kingdoms and from those who oppressed you.’ 19 But you have today rejected your God, who Himself saved you from all your adversities and your tribulations; and you have said to Him, ‘No, set a king over us!’ Now therefore, present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes and by your clans.”” I Samuel 10:17-19, New King James Version (NKJV). This is where God gave them the King as they requested, they rejected God when they asked for a king. God is our King so when you vote ask God prayerfully whom to vote for. I refuse to use this blog for politics, your vote is between you and God.

40 Days of Prayer # 14 Prayer for our nation By Pastor Glen Aycock;
“
“SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 29 - (Good News Translation)
18 A nation without God's guidance is a nation without order. Happy are those who keep God's law!
19 You cannot correct servants just by talking to them. They may understand you, but they will pay no attention.
20 There is more hope for a stupid fool than for someone who speaks without thinking.
21 If you give your servants everything they want from childhood on, some day they will take over everything you own.
23 Arrogance will bring your downfall, but if you are humble, you will be respected.
25 It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you, but if you trust the Lord, you are safe.
26 Everybody wants the good will of the ruler, but only from the Lord can you get justice.
COMMENTS BY PASTOR GLEN AYCOCK:
How awesome is God’s Word. In today’s reading I see 4 main statements that should be considered priorities for a nation.
PRAYER SUGGESTIONS
Our Heavenly Father: We pray for our nation once again look and listen to you in the daily affairs of directing our country. Give us wisdom in the choice of our leaders. May we choose those who believe you have a say so in our government. We pray that actions against your instructions will be noted and defeated. We pray in the wonderful name of Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. Amen!”

Day 13 of 40 - Whom will you seek? - 1 Sam 9
7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 –I Sam 9
l The Feast l

Oct 10_2012 I Sam 9
National Days of Prayer Day 13 of 40
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 9. In 1 Samuel chapter 9, Saul is seeking his fathers asses at Ramah, and is brought to Samuel. God tells Samuel that Saul is to be the new king over his people. Samuel's treats Saul good and explains Gods plan for Saul. “20 But as for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not be anxious about them, for they have been found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on you and on all your father’s house?”
21 And Saul answered and said, “Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel, and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then do you speak like this to me?”” I Samuel 9:20-21, New King James Version (NKJV). We see a couple of things in these two verses. First that in the end God chooses who leads his people. God can and does promote the with the best interest for his people. Secondly He doesn't always promote the richest or most popular person. This is the reason we need to seek God's wisdom as we help choose the leader for our country. Seek God and pray that the Holy Spirit directs you in all of your choices.

SCRIPTURE: PSALM 62:1,2…
Psalm 62:1,2..."Truly my soul waited upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, he is my defense: I shall not be GREATLY moved".
We are crying out to God to save our nation , as we have always known it, and I believe He hears our cries. God is our only salvation to what is wrong in our America. He is the rock we stand on and He is our only defense and the part I like best is that
"WE SHALL NOT BE GREATLY MOVED". We feel like our whole world is being moved , and it is, but God will not give us more than we can handle. He gave us this promise and we stand on it! Psalm 85 is a plea for forgiveness. May we all read this Psalm as we pray for our nation and the next days before the election.
Lord we pray You will show us Your mercy and grant us salvation. Lord revive us again that we may rejoice in Thee.
Regardless of the outcome of this election remember God is the solid rock on which we stand and all other ground is sinking sand. [submitted by Carol Nagel member of Southern Oaks Baptist Church]
God please bless America.
PRAYER THOUGHT:
Dear Jesus: We vow to “stay the course” and we pray for the overturn of the satanic attack on our United States. We pray that Christians will withdraw and not give honor to any political group that votes God out and endorses the murder of infants, opposes prayer to our God. Lord we need help to restore the core beliefs that America was built upon, namely recognition that God is our help and deliverer. We seek a revival that brings America to its knees asking for forgiveness. In Jesus Name, Amen!”

Again I say “Saints seek your Lord God as you pray about the upcoming election.” Tell everyone what Jesus has done for you and what he wants to do for them. Let's continue keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. “Listen to counsel and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter days. There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand.” Proverbs 19:20-21 NKJV. Ask your friends and neighbors to join in seeking, accepting and sharing God's love.
