Are we to judge others?  – Romans 2                      March 9, 2013 - Romans 2 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we prayerfully begin our Feast in Romans 2.   Has God called us to judge others?  Do we do right in judging another’s heart?   I think we would do well to examine our own heart accept Jesus and repent.  “3 Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God? 4 Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? 5 But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.” Romans 2:3-5, English Standard Version (ESV).  When we do well accepting Jesus and repent of our own sins then God can use us in the harvest.  If we acknowledge God and don’t accept Jesus and turn from our sinful acts, we are still lost.  I believe it is better that we accepted Jesus’ gift of salvation and turned from our sin.  “8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, 9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,” 2 Timothy 1:8-9 ESV. This gift of salvation urges us on to good works as free servants filled with the Holy Spirit.  Unashamed sharing the work that Jesus has done in our life.  We herald God giving God all the glory, not judging others.  We proceed following Jesus, with Spirit filled lives, sharing the Word.   The Feast Sat, March 9, 2013, Romans 2, - “The Jews could not be justified by the law of Moses, any more than the Gentiles by the law of nature. What are we sharing?  – Romans 1    March 8, 2013 - Romans 1 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we prayerfully begin our Feast in Romans 1.   I see many things that are worthy for expounding upon in Romans 1.  I have chosen to dwell on Paul’s greeting to the saints in Rome.  “6 including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ, 7 To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.  8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world. ” Romans 1:6-8, English Standard Version (ESV).  This describes you to a tee Saints.  You are loved by God, having received God’s gift of salvation and grace through Jesus.  “[ God of All Comfort ] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ESV This is part of our nature as saints, being comforted by peace from the Holy Spirit by whom we are sealed.  This is what we are sharing with all who will come.  Salvation through Jesus and peace that passes understanding from the Holy Spirit.   Let the light of your soul, redeemed by Jesus shine!  The following quote is from; Matthew Henry’s Concise, Romans 1 Romans an overview; “The scope or design of the apostle in writing to the Romans appears to have been, to answer the unbelieving, and to teach the believing Jew; to confirm the Christian and to convert the idolatrous Gentile; and to show the Gentile convert as equal with the Jewish, in respect of his religious condition, and his rank in the Divine favour. These several designs are brought into on view, by opposing or arguing with the infidel or unbelieving Jew, in favour of the Christian or believing Gentile. The way of a sinner's acceptance with God, or justification in his sight, merely by grace, through faith in the righteousness of Christ, without distinction of nations, is plainly stated. This doctrine is cleared from the objections raised by Judaizing Christians, who were for making terms of acceptance with God by a mixture of the law and the gospel, and for shutting out the Gentiles from any share in the blessings of salvation brought in by the Messiah. Want to be in the band?  – 1 Chronicles 25    March 7, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 25 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 25.   Today we see the order in organization for the temple and the worship of God.  Two hundred, musicians and singers for the worship service.  “6 They were all under the direction of their father in the music in the house of the Lord with cymbals, harps, and lyres for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the order of the king. 7 The number of them along with their brothers, who were trained in singing to the Lord, all who were skillful, was 288.” 1 Chronicles 25:6-7, English Standard Version (ESV).  What a worship service that must be?  Does that give you a hint about what heaven will be like.  “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” Psalm 139:23-24 ESV.  Some people think that heaven will be everlasting boring.  The believers will get wings and float around on pretty white clouds.  I think that every clean soul that enters heaven will be rejoicing, singing and worshiping God.  The only way anyone can be numbered in saints in heaven is through Jesus.  If anyone says there is any other way into heaven they are a liar.  I don’t think we can imagine what the future in God’s heavenly kingdom will be like.  I do know this however; I for one want to be in the band, when I get to heaven.  The following quote is from; Devotionals By Pastor Glen, “LOOKING AT THE FUTURE”  “…Don’t miss out on what God has in store for you. Who paid your fare?  – 1 Chronicles 24                      March 6, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 24 Return to Admenu Home         Dear  Saints,   Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 24.   God allows King David to assign tasks to all the Levites. David organized them according to the duties of their service. “30 The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers' houses. 31 These also, the head of each father's house and his younger brother alike, cast lots, just as their brothers the sons of Aaron, in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of fathers' houses of the priests and of the Levites.” 1 Chronicles 24:32, English Standard Version (ESV).  Again “God gave David the Job of management for the temple service.”    God provided enough people to accomplish the task. They were all of one mind no matter what their individual task; they were all dedicated to God.  “Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.”  1 Corinthians 10:17 ESV.  No matter what Jesus has called us to do, we are all one in the body of Christ.  Whatever duty we are called to in the body, remember there is only one head.  The head of the body is Jesus!  There is only one name under heaven which we are called by.  Jesus is the only one who delivers us to salvation.  Jesus paid the whole price for our sin.  It is pure joy to serve Jesus Christ no matter what He has called us to.  No part of the body functions without the rest of the body.  The body cannot survive without the head.     The Feast     Wed, March 6, 2013, 1 Chronicles 24, - “The divisions of the priests and Levites” – Matthew Henry Concise       Pastor Glens complete Devotional Series |Click Here|   See Destiny by Sandra Lee |Click Here|   The Holy Spirit Is Calling by R. Fleecing the flock?  – 1 Chronicles 23    March 5, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 23 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 23.  King David prepares the people to manage in in the temple service.  “32 Thus they were to keep charge of the tent of meeting and the sanctuary, and to attend the sons of Aaron, their brothers, for the service of the house of the Lord.” 1 Chronicles 23:32, English Standard Version (ESV).  God gave David the Job of management for the temple service.  God supplied the manpower for the temple service.  Whenever God requires something he provides the means.  “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6 ESV.  When the Lord calls on you to do anything be like David, don’t get upset do everything in order.  Look to God for the means he will supply you with material things needed to do God’s will.  Wait on the Lord, God will provide.  Don’t fleece the flock; God doesn’t need your money or means.  “So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”” Genesis 22:14 ESV.  Orderly planning and preparation is a must, faith in God is imperative.  Besides that with everything we’ve been reading have you noticed when people endeavor to “help God” it is a mistake.  Remember Abraham, Sarah and Hagar?  The Feast Tue, March 5, 2013, 1 Chronicles 23, - “David declares Solomon his successor. (24-32)” – Matthew Henry Concise How important is it to pray together?  Please Join us at: http://www.admenu.com/prayer.htm, as we continue to pray for the needs of ours and others.   PLEASE PRAY. Hi Family,     I wanted to let you all know that Meg's seems to be having more symptoms the past few days.....her mind was a little off yesterday and  last night her hand went numb.....she has been sleeping until noon almost daily due to tiredness and it has become clear that her headaches are much more frequent. She just restarted avastin last Friday and maybe it will slow things down...we can only pray. I guess I just wanted to update you on how she is doing in case her symptoms become more alarming anytime soon. I did not want you to feel blind sided. I am praying that maybe it was just one bad day with many more good days to come. We have been very blessed this winter to have 95 % good days.... I know it is Meg's prayer to make it through this summer without complication. Maybe we could all pray that together. I love you guys so much and It helps me to know how much you love and support us which you have all made soooo abundantly clear. I had a dream early this am and you were all in it........It was one of God's great reminders that your are all with us in spirit here as Meg's goes through this.
