Who’s providing the means?       March 25, 2013 -  2 Chronicles 2 Return to Admenu Home         Dear  Saints,   Today we prayerfully, continue to Feast in  2 Chronicles 2. Solomon is making preparations to Build the Temple.  Why does Solomon make a treaty with Huram?  Because he knew they could supply the timber for the project.  That is where King David got the Cedars.  That is where the craftsmen were. We never go to the grocery store to buy lumber, that wouldn’t make sense.  Likewise we wouldn’t pick a baker to set a diamond.  Solomon knew Hiram respected the God of Israel and he would supply his best for Him.  “12 Hiram also said, “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given King David a wise son, who has discretion and understanding, who will build a temple for the Lord and a royal palace for himself.”   2 Chronicles 2:25-27 English Standard Version (ESV).  Solomon was a wise king and administrator.  He shows how he budgets his manpower in this verse.  “17 Then Solomon counted all the resident aliens who were in the land of Israel, after the census of them that David his father had taken, and there were found 153,600. 18 Seventy thousand of them he assigned to bear burdens, 80,000 to quarry in the hill country, and 3,600 as overseers to make the people work.” Romans 6:23 ESV.  I guess because I such a nerd I had to do the math here.  I figure that he assigned management at a ratio of 1.5% of the workforce. That may be a great formula for figuring management for any task. Did you know that you are building or maintaining a temple for God?   “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV.  Our Lord wants us to be a good steward of our Temple for he Holy Spirit.  Don’t worry about the cost of maintaining your temple.  Just as he did with King Solomon he God will supply the means.  Use the tools God has supplied, Pastor’s, the bible, the body of believers which is the Church.  In fact when you need something God will provide it.  “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.“  Whenever God gives us an assignment or task He will supply the means.  So be a good steward let your light shine Jesus provides the fuel.     The following Quote is from The Holy Spirit Is Calling by R. For God is good to those who look to Him and walk in His ways. In V 27 He ask us to help those who have nothing, For God has been good to you. Give what you can and then talk to them about Jesus and what He has done for you and what He will do for them, prey with them, tell them about the word of God. Am I Content Jesus?

Am I Content Jesus?       March 23, 2013 - 2 Chronicles 1 Return to Admenu Home         Dear  Saints,   Today we prayerfully, continue to Feast in 2 Chronicles 1. When you pray what is in your heart?  Do you pray for dominion over others, money, long life even wisdom like Solomon?   “11 God answered Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king, 12 wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like.””  2 Chronicles 1:25-27 English Standard Version (ESV).  Read this carefully saint, Solomon was not asking selfishly for himself.  Solomon was asking so for wisdom to lead others.  He was putting God’s people first so God added what he might have want of.  When we learn to pray for the wellbeing and comfort for others, and truly are happy for others God will bless us.  “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”, Romans 6:23 ESV.  God gives us the very best, eternal life in Jesus!  So the question is can we as Christians be truly happy for others?  Jesus told us the most important commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart every fiber of our being.  Jesus also said the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.   So I was thinking hmmm!  Can I truly be happy when a neighbor gets something great?  I think the better question is; am I content in my relationship with God?  That is something every saint can answer only for themselves.  I think the apostle Paul got it, look here; “11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.”   I personally believe the secret is in our relationship with Jesus.  I challenge each of you to ask yourself; am I content in my relationship with Jesus?     The following overview is from Matthew Henrys Concise Commentary, “2 Chronicles”   “SOLOMON began his reign with a pious, public visit to God's altar. Those that pursue present things most eagerly, are likely to be disappointed; while those that refer themselves to the providence of God, if they have not the most, have the most comfort. Those that make this world their end, come short of the other, and are disappointed in this also; but those that make the other world their end, shall not only obtain that, and full satisfaction in it, but shall have as much of this world as is good for them, in their way. Keep the first thing first!     March 23, 2013 - Romans 16 Return to Admenu Home         Dear  Saints,   Today we prayerfully, continue our Feast in Romans 16. Invite people to worship with you; at time that is all it takes to bring some into the family of God, thru faith in Jesus. Be a good steward with your guests, people who are well introduced will be more comfortable in the Church.  Don’t join gossips and backbiters in their sin.  Divisions in opinion and feelings are best met with prayer from all.  Paul’s wishes for the saints still apply; “I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil.”  Make sure that you greet fellow saints with the light of Jesus, wherever you meet them.  Be sure that the glory is given to God in all things; “25 Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages 26 but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith— 27 to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.” Romans 16:25-27, English Standard Version (ESV).  Our God is an awesome God, our savior Jesus is like no other.   “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12 ESV.  We must hold our course in purpose and love for God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and our fellow saints.  Keep the first thing first in all your service. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.” 10 So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. 11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.12 When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. DEVOTIONAL:   “THE LORD IS MY BANNER” The Amalekites were a constant problem to the Israelites. They were fierce and would raid the towns and kill the inhabitants and burn the town. They were ruthless and merciless. Here in this passage we see that Moses had an encounter with them and only when his arms were up did the Israelite army prevail. Aaron and Hur held up his arms when he grew tired and they defeated the Amalekites. He made this victory a memorial event by building and altar and calling it, “The Lord is my Banner”. I propose to you that we all have some “Amalekites” in our life. Some habit that doesn’t honor God or some sin that captures you is present in your life. Satan is a powerful enemy and he is encamped against you. Victory can be yours because The Lord is your banner. Live under His authority and obey His commands. Satan is no match against our Lord. Don’t go outside of the banner and your home and life will be blessed. Our job as Christians is to hold up the arms of those who are tired and weak spiritually. Prayer support is so important for victory over bondage from sin. The banner of the Lord gives credit to God for deliverance. What Can Be Better?     March 22, 2013 - Romans 15 Return to Admenu Home         Dear  Saints,   Today we prayerfully, continue our Feast in Romans 15. How do we act toward the new convert or the immature Christian?  Approach them with love and never try to intimidate or put them on the spot.  Praising them in the public eye and gently correcting them in private.  We never try to use another’s weak action to make ourselves look good.  Treat all the members of the Church with honor and love; they are our brothers and sisters in Christ.  Sibling arguments are for the unsaved.   Being saved they already have a personal relationship with Jesus.  We have no need to preach to our brothers and sisters.  Carry the grace of Jesus to those that aren’t saved.  Like the apostle Paul make your purposed journeys so that the church will grow.   Make your requests to your brothers and sisters to be for their prayers.  “30 I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf, 31 that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, 32 so that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company. 33 May the God of peace be with you all. Amen.” Romans 15:30-33, English Standard Version (ESV).  Because there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved; so we carry our prayers to Jesus.  No man should try to get between Jesus and the believers.  Never pray to the dead, Jesus arose to be our advocate!  He overcame death so we can turn directly to him in prayer and forgiveness.   “15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 ESV.  Not only is Jesus our savior and advocate, he is our friend.   He gave us his Word and sealed us with the Holy Spirit.  What we read in God’s word the Holy Spirit will bring to our remembrance when we need it.  “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” John 14:26 ESV.   Thank Jesus for his love; it doesn’t get better than eternity with our God.     The Feast     Fri, March 22, 2013, Romans 15, - “Directions how to behave towards the weak.
