Faith Building

Faith Building!

  June 23, 2013 – Job 1 & 2

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully begin our Feast in Job 1 & 2;  We begin our week building our faith, with a double header. “but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 ESV
Job an overview; “This book is so called from Job, whose prosperity, afflictions, and restoration, are here recorded. He lived soon after Abraham, or perhaps before that patriarch. Most likely it was written by Job himself, and it is the most ancient book in existence. The instructions to be learned from the patience of Job, and from his trials, are as useful now, and as much needed as ever. We live under the same Providence, we have the same chastening Father, and there is the same need for correction unto righteousness. The fortitude and patience of Job, though not small, gave way in his severe troubles; but his faith was fixed upon the coming of his Redeemer, and this gave him stedfastness and constancy, though every other dependence, particularly the pride and boast of a self-righteous spirit, was tried and consumed. Another great doctrine of the faith, particularly set forth in the book of Job, is that of Providence. It is plain, from this history, that the Lord watched over his servant Job with the affection of a wise and loving father.” -  Matthew Henry’s Concise
God’s Word builds faith (Romans 10:17) and (Matthew 4:4) feeds the spirit. And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.  Deuteronomy 8:3 ESV.  Let us continue together reading God’s Word and sharing Jesus.

28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.  Romans 8:28-29 ESV

Why Do They Have All The Fun?

Why Do They Have All The Fun?

  June 22, 2013 – Esther 10

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Esther 10; God blessed King Ahasuerus and in doing so he blessed Mordecai, Esther and His people.  “1 King Ahasuerus imposed tax on the land and on the coastlands of the sea. 2 And all the acts of his power and might, and the full account of the high honor of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia? 3 For Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Ahasuerus, and he was great among the Jews and popular with the multitude of his brothers, for he sought the welfare of his people and spoke peace to all his people.  Esther 10 English Standard Version (ESV).  Sometimes it seem like the unbelievers are having the best of times. They have the boats, the sand buggies and they spend every weekend camping, playing, in Las Vegas or other “fun” places.   God knows their hearts.  This doesn’t mean you can’t go places every weekend, wherever you go take the time to worship God and share Jesus. By all means do not envy them; remember that God always has the believer’s best welfare in mind.  “28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.  Romans 8:28-29 ESV.  Instead of envying those that are wasting their life away we need to pray for them.  Where ever we go we should go with God; carrying the Word to all the corners of the Earth.  Remember this Saint; God is not willing that any should perish.

Called With A Purpose!

Called With A Purpose!
  June 21, 2013 – Esther 9

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Esther 9; The Jews band together throughout the kingdom and Gog gives them victory.  The feast of Purim is observed in remembrance of this. (20-32) “30 Letters were sent to all the Jews, to the 127 provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, in words of peace and truth, 31 that these days of Purim should be observed at their appointed seasons, as Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther obligated them, and as they had obligated themselves and their offspring, with regard to their fasts and their lamenting. 32 The command of Queen Esther confirmed these practices of Purim, and it was recorded in writing.  Esther 9:30-32 English Standard Version (ESV).  If we who believe in Jesus live together for God he will grant us success.  We must worship God in the righteousness of Jesus, obeying the Holy Spirit which dwells in all believers.  [My Refuge and My Fortress] He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty . Psalm 91:1 ESV.   We have been redeemed to carry the good news in the name of Jesus, proceeding in his righteousness and God’s love to every corner of the world.
