Are You Covered? August 19, 2013 – Psalms 8 Today’s Feast Psalms 8 – “God is to be glorified, for making known himself to us. (1,2) And for making even the heavenly bodies useful to man, thereby placing him but little lower than the angels. (3-9) ”  - Matthew Henry Concise  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 8.  David recognizes that we can’t begin to comprehend all that is God and yet He is mindful of the condition of man.  “9 O Lord, our Lord,     how majestic is your name in all the earth!”  - Psalms 8:9 English Standard Version (ESV).   Man in the flesh can be such a dark being, yet God recognizes and feeds the potentially spiritual man.  God only set’s man a little lower than the heavenly beings.  We are covered by the blood of Christ, in God’s eyes. “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”  1 John 5:12 ESV Jesus is the spiritual man’s friend (see John 15:13-15), listen can you hear him?  He won’t call forever, now is the time to answer his call. August 18, 2013 – Psalms 7 Today’s Feast Psalms 7 – “The psalmist prays to God to plead his cause, and judge for him. (1-9) He expresses confidence in God, and will give him the glory of his deliverance. (10-17)”  - Matthew Henry Concise  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 7.  David asks God for his protection knowing that God is his shield in this life and the one to come.  “17 I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness,     and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.” - Psalms 7:17 English Standard Version (ESV).   We like David are confident that there is no other with the power to be our Savior. We are assured the destruction of sinners is prevented by the only begotten son of God, Jesus. “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”  Philippians 1:21 ESV Jesus is calling (see  Revelation 3:20), do you still hear him?  He won’t call forever, now is the time to answer his call. Which Way Do I Turn? August 17, 2013 – Psalms 6 Today’s Feast Psalms – Chapter 6 “The psalmist deprecates God's wrath, and begs for the return of his favour. (1-7) He assures himself of an answer of peace. (8-10)”  - Matthew Henry Concise  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 6.  Thank the Lord in the name of Jesus!   Salvation is only of the Lord, in Jesus all things will work in our favor.   “8 Depart from me, all you workers of evil,     for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. 9 The Lord has heard my plea;     the Lord accepts my prayer. 10 All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled;     they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment.” - Psalms 6:8-10 English Standard Version (ESV).  We hold fast to the faith Jesus has given us through the peace of Holy Spirit.  If we feel our faith diminishing in any way we know where to turn (see Romans 10:17) to bolster our faith. ““Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.” 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 ESV Jesus is calling, can you still hear him?  He won’t call forever, now is the time to answer his call.
