Jesus Is Calling! Sep. 6, 13 – Psalms 32 Today’s Feast Psalms Chapter 32 - “The happiness of a pardoned sinner. (1,2) The misery that went before, and the comfort that followed the confession of sins. (3-7) Sinners instructed, believers encouraged. (8-11) - Matthew Henry Concise  Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 32.  David was a man after God’s own heart!  When he did wrong he quickly confessed seeking God’s forgiveness.    “10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked,     but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord. 11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous,     and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!”   Psalms 32:10-11 - English Standard Version (ESV).   Let’s take a tip from David.  When we sin let’s be quick to repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness.  Be fast to obey God’s (see John 1:1-5) Word.  Then we shall be glad in the Lord!  Then we who are sealed with the Holy Spirit will have a happy heart.  “Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” John 14:23 ESV. Today Jesus is calling, be quick to answer!  He won’t call forever, now is the time to answer his call. Strength In Jesus! September 5, 2013 – Psalms 31 Today’s Feast Psalms Chapter 31 - “Confidence in God. (1-8) Prayer in trouble. (9-18) Praise for God's goodness. (19-24)” - Matthew Henry Concise  Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 31.  David expresses his faith in in God’s goodness, in times of trouble, He finds strength in God and thanks him with confidence in praise.    “23 Love the Lord, all you his saints!     The Lord preserves the faithful     but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride. 24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage,     all you who wait for the Lord!”   Psalms 31:23-24 - English Standard Version (ESV).   Take your stand with Jesus and wait for him.  We find Joy, love, purpose, strength, mercy, life and more in Jesus.   “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Give The Glory To God? September 3, 2013 – Psalms 28-29 Today’s Feast Psalms Chapter 28 - “A prayer in distress. (1-5) Thanksgiving for deliverance. (6-9)” - Matthew Henry Concise    Psalms Chapter 29 - “Exhortation to give glory to God.” - Matthew Henry Concise  Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 28-29.  The Psalmist Calls on God in his distress.  Then gives thanks to God for deliverance.  He praises God gives God all the glory.   “10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;     the Lord sits enthroned as king forever. 11 May the Lord give strength to his people!     May the Lord bless his people with peace!”   Psalms 29:10-11 - English Standard Version (ESV).   Last month when my great niece ran away from home we enlisted the help of many people and agencies to help find her.  The first thing we did was to turn to Jesus in prayer.  When she was found safe and the authorities delivered to us, I thanked everyone and gave all the glory to God.  I feel God was the one that moved all the people to help and delivered her back to us safely.  In doing so we got the piece and God got the glory.  One man got very angry at the thought that I ascribed the thanks to everyone that helped and gave the glory to God.  He felt I owed everyone that helped more than thanks and that they deserved the glory.  I feel God blessed those who helped with peace because he used them in delivering her safely.  I would really like to know how you all feel after reading today’s Feast.   “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.”     Isaiah 48:17  ESV.
