On Which Day? September 9, 2013 – Psalms 35 Today’s Feast Psalms Chapter 35 - “David prays for safety. (1-10) He complains of his enemies. (11-16) And calls upon God to support him. (17-28)” - Matthew Henry Concise  Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 35.  David is put off by his enemies and appeals to God for support.  “27 Let those who delight in my righteousness     shout for joy and be glad     and say evermore, “Great is the Lord,     who delights in the welfare of his servant!” 28 Then my tongue shall tell of your righteousness     and of your praise all the day long.”   Psalms 35:27-28 - English Standard Version (ESV).   David praises God all the day long every day.  My son-in-law was with some friends and they were debating on which day of the week to worship God.  One said; “Saturday is the day to worship God because that’s when he made the Sabbath!”  The other said; “We worship on Sunday because Jesus rose on Sunday!”  They turned to my son-in-law and asked; “Which day do you worship God?”  My son-in-law answered; “In my home we worship God every day!”  My question for you would be; “What day do you worship God?”  “Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness.”   Titus 2:2 ESV. Jesus loves you and is calling you. He won’t call forever! Today is the day to answer his call. Encouragement! September 8, 2013 – Psalms 34 Today’s Feast Psalms Chapter 34 - “David praises God, and encourages to trust him. (1-10) He exhorts to fear. (11-22)” - Matthew Henry Concise  Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 34.  David loves boasts and praises God continually.  Those in his household and his friends must be encouraged. “1  I will bless the Lord at all times;     his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord;     let the humble hear and be glad. 3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,     and let us exalt his name together!”   Psalms 34:1-3 - English Standard Version (ESV).   Does your example encourage people to turn to Jesus?  “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Jesus Is Calling!

Jesus Is Calling! Sep. 6, 13 – Psalms 32 Today’s Feast Psalms Chapter 32 - “The happiness of a pardoned sinner. (1,2) The misery that went before, and the comfort that followed the confession of sins. (3-7) Sinners instructed, believers encouraged. (8-11) - Matthew Henry Concise  Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 32.  David was a man after God’s own heart!  When he did wrong he quickly confessed seeking God’s forgiveness.    “10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked,     but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord. 11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous,     and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!”   Psalms 32:10-11 - English Standard Version (ESV).   Let’s take a tip from David.  When we sin let’s be quick to repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness.  Be fast to obey God’s (see John 1:1-5) Word.  Then we shall be glad in the Lord!  Then we who are sealed with the Holy Spirit will have a happy heart.  “Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” John 14:23 ESV.
